Ooops. Great looking product but not too sure about the fit from the looks of the video and the picture above. Perhaps the bottom piece should have been put on first.
I posted on Steve’s 70th car thread, whose car and install is pictured above. He indicated that he had not pushed the piece down in place yet, (Should’ve took picture afterwards then). I told him he should contact AH, as they are using his picture and it makes it look like their product has a fitment issue, which it obviously doesn’t. Their other pictures on their site look spot on.

Steve gave us those pictures. I just asked him for a better picture of the front piece installed correctly.
I'm going to back out of this conversation as there is some confusion as to what a OEM part is and one that is altered and no longer OEM unless of course that part is made for Chevrolet and can be purchased from stock. I appreciate that the fit of the new part should be representative of a OEM part. It's a nice looking piece.
It's actually an OEM part that has been dipped in faux carbon fiber, then clear coated.
CF 232 is one such film. You float it in a bath of water, spray an activator on it, and then dunk the part you want to coat.
Guys, I don't understand the problem with these clips...besides, you're missing the point about this thread! It's all about the beauty added to your C8 Corvette.
Pat at American Hydrocarbon supplies these beautiful OEM pieces (with clips) ready to install in the frunk. The OEM pieces pop out easily and the clips pose zero problems or issues. This entire install took me about 10 minutes.
