Plant closed week of March 20
I received my car and took the plant tour on Thursday, March 16 and heard that the plant is closed next week.
Awesome facility.

Not the first time a shutdown has happened and probably won’t be the last. There are still supply disruptions going on and auto manufacturers are not immune to them. Hopefully it will only be a week down time.

Just for curiosity, I'd really like to hear more details. Apparently some other assembly plants are shut down also. One ominous thing I read was that the Bowling Green employees were being briefed on unemployment benefits. Maybe that's standard for a shutdown. I don't think it's been announced with BG employees will go back to work. I'm on a C8 waiting list.

Just In Time inventory is a great thing, as I was told in my business classes years ago! It reduces footprint and building requirements for inventory, minimizes outdate parts and overall reduces cost of goods sold. Great idea but in our current times, it doesn't work so well for us impatient customers. At least I'm at 3000 with a supposed TPW of 4/3. Shane has advised me that it could shift a couple of weeks to the right. I've been waiting since last July so a few more weeks will be tolerable.
