Anyone Using Suntek Reaction PPF?
I've also left bugs on the front bumper as long as 2 weeks. Once I cleaned them off, the residual spots on the PPF disappeared once exposed to sunlight for a while (and to be honest only a couple of them even left a spot to begin with).
Lastly my PPF saved my front bumper and passenger headlight from a shotgun blast of small pieces of concrete or pea gravel or something from a flatbed 18 wheeler who was too lazy to sweep off the truck after unloading. Prevented 20-ish dings to the paint (at least the ones that dinged the PPF, might have been more that wouldve marred the paint but didnt mar the PPF), meaning instead of a respray I just replaced the bumper and one headlight's PPF for $800 (that included the labor). Bumper respray alone wouldve easily been that much or more (not to mention blending adjacent panels), and the chips to the headlight cant be repainted (C8 headlight assemblies are $$$$). That was 3 months after buying the car. I wouldve been GUTTED had it not been PPF'd.
I'd 100000% recommend PPF to front bumper, hood, headlights, and front fenders at a minimum. My Suntek React has been worth every penny over my 18 months of ownership and counting. I dont daily my C8 so it will likely last me 10 years. And it has a 10 year warranty so even if you do daily your C8 if the PPF starts to peel or anything it's warrantied assuming the peeling isnt caused by damage/impacts or using power washers (dont do that).
I would not of spent the money but was free to me courtesy of the previous owner. My 2022 HTC bought with only 1000 miles on it.

If you have chosen to PPF:
#1 – Pick the Installer – Not the PPF Brand (SunTek, XPEL, STEK, etc). The potential variability in the quality of an Installer's work will greatly exceed the potential variability of quality of any of the Big Brand Name PPF manufacturers.
Distant 2nd – SunTek Reaction is a great choice (just like XPEL and STEK and others), if that is what your Installer is familiar with / has used.
I have SunTek Reaction plus 2 coats of Ceramic Pro on my ‘21 HTC – Full car - Installed by Tint World of Webster Tx in Sept 2021. I have been, and am, very pleased. Up front, I stressed minimizing seams and they did a Great job. Removed all emblems and wrapped all edges. When I went back a month or so later (for an unrelated visit), they said “Come look what we are working on now”: a recent model Ford GT - in there for PPF and Coating.
Mine was the first time that they had used Reaction (vs SunTek Ultra) and both the Installers commented that they really liked working with Reaction more than with the Ultra. Even though Reaction is advertised to have hydrophobic properties, I wanted a Ceramic coating done as well (review of many Forum thread Posts here convinced me that was the direction I wanted to go).
For a semi-continuous list of multiple reasons, I have not driven my HTC that much since I bought it (2500mi), and it stays in the garage a lot. My other cars get really dusty in the garage, but my HTC stays almost dust free. What driving I have done, road grime doesn't stick (dry weather). I literally haven’t washed it in over 6 mo, yet you can't see any grime or dust on it unless you get within 2 or 3 ft. I have not had any rock pelting events to report on how well the PPF has performed through that – But with the limited easy driving it has seen (mostly freeway), I have had zero issues.
If you have chosen a Good Installer – Don’t hesitate going with SunTek Reaction.
My current i4 was first of 6 cars that I've had fully wrapped over past two years that didn't require me bringing it back for corrections (each time was minimum of two returns). I had beat up the importance of a good QA and it paid off. The QA was spot on and not a single error left the shop. No lint or crud underneath the ppf. No bubbles. No overstretching causing the ppf to pull off. Etc.
