How do I know when my C8 Corvette will be readY?
How do I know when my C8 Corvette will be readY? I ordered it on June 23rd & they told me it would be ready in 3 months. That would make it on September 23rd. But I'm worried about the UAW strike at the end of September & if my car will be done before Sept. 30th. How does one check to see where a particular car is in the production system at the factory? Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

For 2023 there is a thread that has (work day) daily updates on the cars that got built as well as what cars are expected to get built in the weeks to come, by VIN range. If your order is a 2023 order see here: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1606971671
If your order is a 2024 order, you will need to wait for production to start and look for a thread for 2024 Production. Your dealer won't have a VIN for the car until it makes it to Event Code 3400.

…it’s really looking like the 23’s will be done right before the strike…. The last day for ‘23 production is supposed to be 9/12, and the UAW contract doesn’t expire until midnight on the 14th. It takes 3 days to build a C8, so they “SHOULD” be done with the 23’s before midnight on the 14th…. However, it’s possible they could he stuck at the plant waiting for shipping if the strike happens…

Forget all this stuff and wait for the call when it's in. Much easier and less stressful for many since you have zero control over any of it, anyway. Enjoy... when it arrives!

I ordered mine on June 15th, and it arrived at the dealership today (August 24th).

Every time I ask them they keep telling me they will call me when it's in production. When I ordered it they said that they had an allocation for a 2023 C8 Corvette. They told me it would be ready in 3 Months!! This Chevy dealership has been taken over about 6 months ago by the nearby Chrysler/Dodge dealership in our town. So they may not know how to check with GM about this!!
