If you drove the Z like it should be driven you will miss the real power after like 60 mph...the stingray is slower....now if you never drove the Z like it should have been driven, you won't miss it
I am a little reluctant in posting this but here goes. I probably would not if were not for all the corvette aficionados I’ve come to know the last few weeks in posting and getting great advice. Only you guys am sure will understand. I have ordered a new ‘24 C8 Riptide but tomorrow I’m saying goodbye to my 2019 Z06 2LT, 5000mi which has never seen rain. PRISTINE in every category. Tell me I’m not making a mistake Guys!
That's good, they melt in the rain. So many totaled Corvettes out there cause of moisture.

No mistake at all. However be prepared for a whole new driving experience for the better.

The C8 is a great car, but so is the C7. Only you can decide which car is right for you. And perhaps the only way you will know for sure is to experience the C8. I doubt you will be disappointed with the new car, but there may be some part of you that will look back on your C7 ownership and remember it for some very positive attributes.
What I miss about my two C7s is the trunk that allows me to put in two cases of wine, my luggage, a Yeti cooler, a take down shotgun, two cases of shells, and still have some room left over.... other than that I love my C8.
Go get your new C-8 and drive it like you stole it, life is short and this is your time.
These cars are made to run and the C-8 flies like the wind, you will see an entirely new experience onse you are in it.
You can still keep it detailed and looking good but for Gods sake, get out there and run some gas through it.

Have you driven one? I owned a 2019 GS 2LT, and was hesitant to order my 2021, which I really enjoyed but no regrets the C8 takes it to another level, IMHO. Well one regret wish I would have ordered HTC instead of a coupe, so I did, now have a 2024 HTC.
Enjoy
Dr Bob,
I have a suggestion for you, when you go to pickup your new car pick a day it's going to be raining, that will take care of the never driving it in the rain ordeal. I speak from experience, I picked up my car December 2nd in Nashua, NH (MacMulkin). Weather forecast did not have rain it. I was 5 minutes out from the dealer and it started to pour, 90 miles later the car was not looking all shiny new. Good thing my car doesn't show dirt(black) ha ha , it was toasted.
So going forward I already know the dirt washes off, unless you are buying it to show or parking it for future appreciation, drive it as much as you can.
