NOOO, I don't need a Cadillac, I just don't see the distain for safety features on a blistering fast corvette seeing the is primarily driven by well aged drivers. Like it or not, the Corvette has become somewhat of a luxury sports car, not just for hairy chested knuckle draggers anymore.

Soooo true. There are so many on this forum that this meme reminds me of.
Makes zero sense to me that these people are complaining about options that can be disabled.
I'm glad I waited for the 2024, like many I have no use for the google stuff because I use Android Auto for all my nav, music and communication needs and the android auto system stay's the same when using all three of our cars. I really do like the added driver assist aids. Lane Keep and warning is one I've had on several cars and I like it...
In coordination with LKA, does the '24 have the additional feature of driver-eye-monitoring - the type where it beeps at you, vibrates the steering wheel, or displays a warning if your eyes "drift" too much for its liking from wide-open, straight-ahead staring? I find those really annoying when I drive a car with LKA.
Add to the list of disappointments:
no automatic high beam headlights
and No adaptive headlights that move with your steering wheel
(even my wife's 2019 Subaru has that)
I'm seeing some confusion in this thread, hoping to help clear it up.
2024+ C8s made the move from Chevy's "MyLink" system to Android Automotive. At a high level what this means is the in car infotainment no longer runs on Chevy's OS, it's on Android now. It is not subscription based, you don't pay extra for it. I don't know where the hell this rumor came from but it's fake news.
You can still use Android Auto and Apple CarPlay if you'd like.
Love my 2023 and it was built in late August so I was on the cusp of getting a 2024. I wanted a 2023 with the updated trans case and I didn’t want to pay the price increase for 2024 safety nannies I would turn off and the google screen that I would have despised. That being said, I would have liked the automatic high beams and the soft close frunk. Overall I am over the top happy that I got a 2023 and even though it’s not a 70th edition, it shares the 70th year pedigree.
Totally agree - at a recent BASH event at the NCM, Tadge asked the group our thoughts on Adaptive Cruise Control and immediately one idiot shouted out NO! I am sure the guy had no idea what it was. It is SO much better than standard cruise control, and I believe even an advanced safety option. Those not in the know are clueless.
I appreciate the tech and have owned cars with and without it. Here in Michigan people treat our highways like they are in a nascar race, it makes adaptive cruise pretty annoying to use, so I don't miss it. I get 10 miles into to Indiana, it's fine and I prefer it.
My point is, not all areas have the same experience with the tech. I think it contributes a lot to why some users are strongly against it or see no benefit to it. If you travel a lot it really is bonkers to see how much differently people drive in different areas.
