reset by holding door open?
i’d appreciate if anybody has any insight on this situation. I’ve been told, if you hold the door open for longer than 90 seconds that the “car will reset” ….exactly what does that mean? does that mean that it erases history, erases your driving habits that are learning by the ECU etc., etc. what exactly does happen? why did they do this? It would seem to me that a lot of people hold their door open as they’re unpacking the car, etc. etc. and we get a reset of some sort. Anybody have any details?

It just forces the computers to all actually shutdown rather than remain running in the background. You don't lose or erase anything. Kinda like restarting your computer or phone when its acting up.

I hate the fact that If I leave the door open while I get gas when I re-enter the double beep and the seat memory won't work.
If I shut the door, it will auto lock and everything works as normal when re-entering and starting?
