The table in the manual (and in post 2) summarizes the features - but I did not find it to be especially clears, because it does not correspond exactly with the options that show up on the menu in the car. You have to realize, for example, that Throttle Progression, Transmission Shift, and AFM are actually bundled into a single setting called Engine/Shift.

Z-mode and MyMode are both customizable Driver Modes, meaning you can select settings for features that affect the performance, ride, handling and sound of the car. The other modes default to specific settings.

In Z-mode, you can set Engine Sound, Steering, Suspension (if you have magride), Engine/Shift, Brake Feel, and you have access to the PTM setting if your car has PTM (Z-51 with magride). You don't get separate access to all the settings shown in the table in the manual (and in post 2) - the Transmission Shift, Throttle Progression, and AFM, are bundled into a single setting called Engine/Shift. Folks frequently comment about Z-mode as if was the racy mode etc., and it can be, but it can also be set up to exactly like the Weather Mode or Tour Mode if that is what you want.

With MyMode, you get the same options, with the exception of Engine/Shift, and access to PTM modes, which do not appear in that menu. In MyMode, the Engine/Shift setting is defaulted to Tour.

So the big difference is Z-mode allows you to select Engine/Shift settings and enables access to PTM modes, while in MyMode the Engine/Shift is set to Tour and cannot be changed, and you do not have access to PTM settings.

In addition to what is above, Z mode reverts to Tour when you restart the engine, My Mode restarts in My Mode. Also note that Throttle Progression, Trans Shift Mode (which deactivates AFM), and PTM aren't available in My Mode

With Z mode on the steering wheel, I tend to think of it as a "Push to Pass". .. button. .. To each their own.

Because of the different settings that are available in each, I think of My Mode as a customizable Tour mode and Z Mode as a customizable Track mode

If you were in 4th gear at 25 mph, with the non-Z car, you would be turning 1327 rpm. At 30 mph you would be turning 1592 rpm. It does does go to V8 mode with no throttle.

Here's a chart you may find useful for the non-Z car.

It should be noted ...........In the above chart is the BASE rear end, .. It's different for Z-51 equipped cars.

Yes it is. I used that one because the poster to whom I was responding had a non-Z car. Its marked with the final gear 4.89, but I see it does not specifically say non-Z. Here is the Z version.

Thanks Andybump. I guess I am hitting 4th gear on my way out of my neighborhood 🤔.

I can report back that my C8 drops into V4 MODE in 3rd gear at 18 mph. It will stay in V4 mode if I keep steady throttle.🤔🤔.
It will go into 4th and stay in V4 MODE with easy acceleration.
I never noticed it out on the road with normal acceleration. Only in my neighborhood going slow looking out for the kiddies on our street.
Maybe check yours to see if it happens.
I do have a Soler Control set to SPORT 2. I guess I will check next drive to see if having it set to OEM makes any difference.
It shouldn’t, but🤔🤔.

I drive mostly in Z mode as I do not like a 4 banger and have my shifting set so it will not do that.
