The fact that Riptide Blue is #1 for E-Ray but nowhere near as high for SR or Z06 shows how powerful marketing is and works. Could also signify discerning tastes that are specific to the E-Ray's target market.

Another thing that surprised me how Stingray coupe selection is pulling away from the HTC. It was almost even in 2022, Coupe by about 4% in 2023 and you see how it's trending so far in 2024.
Anyone else surprised by anything ?

I noticed that too. Stingray and Z06 color selection are pretty similar as one would expect, however E-ray is way out in left-field.

If you look at dealers stock there are a lot more coupes than HTC on the For Sale Lots and most are 3LT and discounted.

Noticing that HTC buyers also prefer more loaded cars 2/3 LT/LZ so I am guessing those folds are going for the Grand Touring vibe.
Coupe buyers seem to prefer more of a lightweight build (as I did).

Cost is a factor as the 3LT option is overpriced. I also believe buyers are getting sick and tired of the 3LT leather dash delamination problem over the last 3 generations of Corvettes. I would not take the 3LT option if they gave it to me free of charge.

The dash leather issue is the sole reason I got a 2LZ instead of a 3LZ. I just didn't want it bad enough to roll the dice on that. The price difference was minimal since I also wanted the GT2 seats.

Bowling Green does not determine what C8s they make as all are presold to purchaser specification whether ordered by Corvette enthusiast or by dealer for inventory. So if there's more coupes in dealer's stock then HTCs it's because they feel the coupes will sell faster.

The popularity of Sea Wolf Gray really surprises me. Maybe I need to see it in the flesh?

The buyers not on a budget or with more money opt for HTC and 3LT.

As far as price increases go the C8 is still a bargain compared to the expensive world-class sportscars it competes in the marketplace with.
