Default 2M exhaust installed!

Installed a 2M exhaust on the C8 yesterday with my 10 year old daughter.

it took us 5hrs (1hr less than I was quoted and $1000 saved!)

Takeaways from the exhaust are:
Fitment is spot on
finish is fantastic, welds are really nice
It’s loud! The cold start hits you in your chest but it’s ok at idle
it can be loud in the cabin at certain RPMs but cruising at normal speeds in the correct gear produced virtually no drone.
Lots of bangs and pops - whip crack on the 1-2 and 2-3 shift.
It sounds mean!!

highly recommend for anyone looking at an exhaust at a phenomenal price.

What a great bonding experience, I bet she loved hearing it start up after all that work!

she did and the 1st ride was just as great. When she heard the 1-2 shift she was hooked! She’s one of us for sure.

I'm seriously considering this exhaust. Did you do high flow cats as well?

Just the cat back. For $1000 you can’t go wrong.

For me, it was a no brainer since I didn’t have the performance exhaust. If you want to retain the stock valve control, I get why you’d explore other options.

Hey, what's it like in "D" @ 20mph, 3rd gear .. and V4 mode kicks in?? I ask because I debated for a while on which exhaust to get. I went with the MBRP mainly because I liked the carbon fiber tips, and because I wanted all the bangs and burbles I could get, and was a bit concerned the built in resonators might muffle them a bit? I'm happy with what I bought, but am pretty sure I'd have been happy with the 2M as well. My only issue is that low speed, 3rd gear, V4 mode kick in .. which sounds like $#*+. V4 at highway speeds is perfectly fine though. I find myself using Manual Mode to avoid that 3rd gear, low speed V4 mode.

All you need is two simulators if you have the NPP exhaust. You can order heat shields from Paragon if you really want to.

I’ll test it for you. I never drive in V4, I don’t like it at all and call me old school but I can’t see how this is good for the motor.

I’ll try all modes in D at 20-25mph

which heat shields are you referring to? The wheel liner has a heat shield but they’re black. The trunk pan has a factory heat shield.

I ran this exhaust on my '23 stingray for 5,000 miles. Loved it. Zero complaints for the money, however, at 5k miles it had blown out the small resonator/mufflers and the internal cores had big holes in them. Don't expect it to last forever. I changed it out for a Milltek system. I do drive my cars hard.

when I first drove the new installed Fabtech exhaust, I let it run in v4 for a test, worst sound ever, drive mine in M 100% of the time

Thanks for the review of the exhaust. For $1K, compared to systems that costs many times more, it does sound like a bargain.

Yep and mine were no longer perforated, they had quarter sized holes in them.
