For fun and practically (I’ll explain) I was wondering if there’s an “official Corvette driving shoes” recommendation. I do wear Hokka’s which are pretty bulky and I almost always touch the panel and door frame when I enter/exit the car in tight spaces. I’m getting a bit better as I try different entry/exit techniques but I was curious if there are recommended shoes to minimize the scuffs on our doors and panels.
I have a pair of Hunziker McQueens for spirited driving. I bought them when introduced for $75, now they are double that. Very nice quality with extra insoles, etc. If you just like the driving shoe look more so, the Goodyears are pretty cool with many different colors, etc. Not as high end, but fun for car shoes, cruise nights, casual wear, etc.
Just ordered a pair of these. People falsely assume they mimic Nike Dunks but Dunks were released in 1985, two years after the original New Balance 480. Both were originally basketball shoes in the 1980s. That same styling inspired their modern adaptation as skateboarding shoes.
