Default First Corvette 2022 C8 Convertible 3LT

I have the z51 performance package and z51 performance suspension. The vehicle is used with 8,000 miles. The dealership stated all checks were done. What next steps should I take or plan for going forward. I would love some kind of maintenance suggestions to keep the suspension inline and some good suggestions on year round run flat tires. Any gotchas with the 2022s I need to look for? Thanks

What a unique setup. I've never seen the front license plate holder installed along with Lambo doors. I think they go together nicely.

Congrats, I also have the factory stripes on My 2023 Coupe Z-51 car but those doors are a special extra indeed.
The 2022 had the better Nav system and you have one badass car there indeed.
The best advise I have for you is to just run gas through it and learn how amazing these cars really are, they are high performance cars and intended for very high performance driving.
You will find that everyone will really like your car and don't forget to wave.

I'd confirm that the DCT filter has been changed between 7,000 and 8,000 miles. If it hasn't been changed yet it needs to be done. If it was changed before 7,000 miles it should be changed again. And you will be due for a DCT fluid change when the car is 3 years old (the filter and fluid don't have the changed at the same time). Many dealers don't get the requirements right.

The Michelin all-season Pilot Sport tires that come on the non-Z51 are the best all season run flats available for the C8.

No particular problems with the 2022s.

Depending on delivery date, you should have had minimum 2 as many as 3 oil changes. Regardless of mileage every 12 months. I.e. our MY 2022 delivery date was 10-2021 so we have had three one year anniversary oil changes 10-22/23/24. And the DCT filter 7000-8000 per the quoted text. We've had Michelin ZP All Seasons since our C7.

If you want to access the OTA updates for your car follow the bouncing ball. From the Info screen Home/Settings>System>Vehicle Software>Updates. You'll find a list of OTAs done and when. There haven't been any new 2022 updates for a year or more. OTAs not done in 60 ignition cycles disappear automatically so none will be shown as pending.

If the B2B warranty is still active, I would 100% go ahead and get the Chevy Platinum warranty extension while you can.(Once B2B expires, I think so does the option to get the CPP warranty.)
Beautiful car, you're going to love it. Just got a 23 HTC myself and I keep sneaking a peak into the garage for a smile multiple times a day. Congrats

Read carefully the full maintenance section in the Owner's Manual and insure that the indicated services for the miles and years have been done, or do them. You need to read the full section - because - unfortunately - what you need to know is scattered around in the section. You can also download a copy of your manual in PDF form, and then you can search if for information easily.

A summary of the engine oil, transmission filter, and transmission fluid service is this:

Engine OIl: Change it when you get a message from the Oil Life System or at least once a year, whichever is first. The oil life system will never go beyond 7,500 miles, but may go much shorter depending on driving conditions and time. Its at least once per year, even if you do not drive it. Use 0W-40 motor oil that meets the dexosR specification. Mobil 1 Supercar 0W-40 is the only motor currently dexosR licensed. You can check the gmdexo site to find the list of oils that have a dexosR license. Other oils might meet the requirement and there are claims that some are better. I use the Mobil 1 product.

DCT filter: Change it between 7000-8000 miles even if done earlier, then at 22,500 miles on the odometer, then every 22,500 miles after, or every 24 hours of track use, whichever is first. You do not need to change the fluid at the same time.

Transmission Fluid: Change it when the fluid life monitor says, or at least every three years (the fluid life system will not remind you about the three year requirement but you must observe it), or at least every 45000 miles, or every 24 hours of track use, whichever is first. I use Delco DCTF FFL-4 transmission fluid. You do not need to change the filter at the same time, unless the conditions for the filter change are also met.

Here is a copy of letter GM is now distributing to all owners. It says the information in the letter is in all the owners manuals, but that is not correct. There is information in there that is not found in all of the manuals. For some reason, the letter annoys folks that are performing the service as intended, and throwing it away, but I recommend keeping it and putting it with your owners manual. Many have encountered bogus service advice from their dealer - the letter might help if that happens to you.

Very nice car you bought. Make sure the oil has been changed, perhaps flush and fill the brake fluid. As for tires, I’d recommend a set of Michelin A/S 4+ ZP runflats.

Andybump - You mentioned that, unless it is also due, it isn't necessary to change the DCT external filter when the transmission fluid is changed. There's a clause in the 2024 owner's manual that indicates the filter change should be done with the transmission fluid, at least when the change fluid message has been triggered.

That might be an overly strict reading, but my 2024 owner's manual (p316) says:
"Every 72 000 km (45,000 mi) . Change the transmission fluid and external canister filter. Change the external canister filter every 36 000 km (22,500 mi) thereafter. This service can be complex. See your dealer. Or when the CHANGE TRANSMISSION FLUID SOON message displays, change the fluid and external canister filter within the next 1 000 km (620mi)."

That assumes the schedule is dominated by mileage and not time. A vast majority of us wind up changing the fluid due to the 3 year requirement so the CHANGE TRANSMISSION FLUID SOON message never displays. Perhaps that is the reason they didn't program the DCT fluid life monitor to track time.

You are correct that is says that! The only time that will happen is if you get to 45000 miles and have not changed and reset your fluid life monitor.
