I put this in eray forum but not sure there is a lot of traffic there. Mods can you kill that one?
Greetings,
Seeking help and advice from the experts! There is a used 24 Eray on a dealers lot. It is in a configuration that I would have wanted. Color is no longer offered. It was a GM execs car and the dealer purchased it from GM. It has sat at the dealership and has been discounted over the months.
I asked for up close photos as I am far from the state. There is a rock chip on the nose and small curb rash on one of the wheels.
How much off should I ask for a price that has been reduced significantly? Is there a ballpark % off I should ask? Vehicle would have to be shipped to me, the nose and curb rash would have to be repaired. The OCD in me would see these issues.
This is a loaded 3LZ coupe with under 3500 miles.
I have a 17 GS in sterling blue metallic that I will keep.
Thank you for your advice!!

Put your glasses on, CP. ; )
OP: I would search around 500 mi radius or so to see what the going price of pre-owned e-ray vehicles are. You can also expand your search with some flexibility and see where you end up. These cars are not flying off the lots so the ball is on your court and you can even offer a lower than usual price to see where that ends up at. You have to take into consideration it being so far away and the risk it poses and also being pre-owned and sitting there for several months. 2026 vehicles are already in route if I'm not mistaken. The 26 vehicles had the updated interior as well.
This is just me and I don't expect everyone to be me but I would definitely look to picking up a new one discounted from one of the higher volume dealerships like MacMulkin and then having it shipped because they offer discounts and then you get a brand new with the updated interior with peace of mind and ultimate satisfaction I suppose.
Hopefully you get additional feedback but this is mine.
Ah, the old "GM Executive" car that they bought directly from GM. So it was a demo car. Has it been titled, are they selling it as new with a full warranty or used? What are they asking for it?
Brand new ERays around here have significant discounts, so unless their price is lower than a new one, I'd pass.

Thank you! I bought my 17 from Criswell and looked at the big three. The only thing is this is in a discontinued color but does have a paint chip issue on the nose and a small curb rash on the rim. It is ~105K at this point. Maybe this is a bad deal w/ the two known issues? I asked for video and photos. Asked the dude how he would rate it on a scale of 1-10 (10 being highest). 9 due to the two issues.
CMG it is! It has been a minute since I seen it. Several years ago. Are those demos ragged out? My 17 is Sterling Blue which wasn’t popular but when someone sees it, they say it is the nicest color they have seen on a corvette.
$105K is the current asking price. Selling as used w/ whatever warranty is left.
Thanks for the advice!

What was its original MSRP? Being a former GM Executive car it should be equipped really nice and serviced properly. Sterling Blue Metallic GS is uniquely cool as a CMG E-Ray would be too. I bought a used ‘17 WGG GS in 2019, owned it for four trouble free years prior to buying my ‘24 E-Ray. If you absolutely want the spec offer to buy it for $95K as is and get those two issues repaired at shops you trust after your purchase. Good luck.

Thank you!
The original price was a little over $128K. It has a Borla exhaust on it as well. I wish I was closer but this would be a site unseen deal (just the videos and photos)
I was informed there is no dash issues or any paint issues around the lights. Unfortunately, on my GS I had the paint issues and had to get that fixed when I received it from Criswell.
Have bought 3 used Corvettes over the years using Autotrader and Car Gurus sites. It is challenging to buy a vehicle in this manner as you are learning.
FWIW understand you are buying a used car.
Follow the guidelines for buying a program vehicle that are available online. Review the ERay owners manual online to familiarize yourself with the car. A refundable down payment
to hold the car and make a trip to inspect and drive it. Good luck !

Thank you! I will look into the program vehicles. Are these usually dogged out? They informed me that it was an execs car. I had assumed maybe they drove it around for a bit. Maybe these are loaned out to media?
The greatest fear is change. We all mostly have that same fear. When the Eray was announced? I hated the idea. I poo pooed it every chance I had thinking here we go electric power replacing ice. I couldn't have been more wrong. experiencing is believing. It isnt even about the speed. It's about the planted surefooted reckless driving you can do and not lose control . They got the ride calibration perfect as well. So much so that you can swap between hi po tire and AS without a single change (watch that video clip below). Greatest street corvette (C8) ever made.
The "traditionalists are still reluctant" to venture into the electric world. No matter how fast they are.
.
OP...consider getting a Z06 if you don't drive it daily...they must not be selling well as I see many sitting on the lots and way below msrp. There are still waiting lists for Erays and are still in high demand.
