Warning - c8 owner scamming
If you have been scammed with C8 parts, post it up here.

My recent experience:
I have been selling parts online for 20+ years and am careful with financial/parts exchanges, but have been scammed a handful of times ($4k in a chargeback transaction last year - woof). But this one stood out, enough to warn others. The buyer has an automotive wrap business. But he also has a YouTube channel and Instagram page with small followings which show his cars' modifications - including C8 Stingray & Z06 with some popular brands.
The grift:
I sold a set of Girodisc front rotors on eBay for a C8 Z06. A month later I get a message from the buyer (using a different account) that he had returned the rotors and asked for a refund - I hadn't seen anything come in so I reached out to Girodisc. They did receive the return, but the C8 Z06 rotors were not sent. The buyer somehow got UPS to accept the package as a non-accepted delivery 9 days after the package was delivered and he sent the original Girodisc box with used EBC rotors (painted and missing anti-rattle clips) for a Stingray back. Luckily Girodisc opened the box and inspected the parts to find the fraud.
I reached out to eBay to report both accounts, but the account buyer used to purchase the rotors had already been locked by eBay, so it does not look like this was not his first rodeo.
I dug in a little bit more and searched his address and his C8 Stingray is on Google Street View clearly showing EBC rotors. There was also a very unique 350Z in the street with an IG sticker on the window. I couldn't read the sticker. But did a little searching with Google image and found his wrap business, YouTube channel and IG. On his YouTube channel the EBC rotors are sitting on the floor next to his new Z06, lol. Additionally, his content shows quite a bit of common C8 parts & vendors, so he is definitely using other C8 vendors.
Ultimately, no refund was issued as buyer intended. But this could have gone a different way and it was definitely the intent of buyer to get the new rotors at no cost.
**update - scammer placed a chargeback with his credit card**

We all know there are scammers out there. But this is a reminder to keep your eyes out for scams, even for people that appear to be community members.

HOPEFULLY the OP prevails against the chargeback attempt with the CC company. Seems like the best he can hope for, especially given the scammer's physical address. If you know, you know.

He sent back a different block, old rusty worthless 2 bolt 427. When my friend contacted him, he insisted the block was the one he had received and stated "Ebay will refund my money"
Ebay did return his money. Fortunately my friend had photographed the serial numbers and casting numbers. It took a few months but my friend got his money back.
Scammer got the real 427 block but had to pay for it.
Bait and switch, shipping receipts, not received, there are a million scams. You have to document everything you do. Pictures, receipts.
