FYI, I just used the GM chatbot to ask for an owners manual for my 2026 HTC Stingray. The AI assistant couldn't quite understand what I wanted so it transferred me to a real person. I told her that I needed the manual, she asked for my address, confirmed it, and said I would have the manual in 1-2wks. I couldn't believe it. I was all ready to to give her a bunch of excuses why I couldn't download it, wouldn't be able to read it on my phone, I paid nearly $100K for the car and the damn thing should have an owners manual. She shot all that down, and quickly said no problem. Kind of deflating when you're all fired up to argue with someone, but they won't play!!
I went through the same thing (albeit with their Social Media group as recommended by a poster here) on Feb. 23 with the same result.
I'm looking forward to receiving it.
I purchased one through helm for my 2500 because that's what the dealer told me to do a year ago "Chevy isn't providing them anymore". And here is what Chevy told me today:
I appreciate your patience. I’m truly sorry to hear that you received incorrect information from the dealership, which led you to purchase an owner’s manual at your own expense. I understand how frustrating this must be. Unfortunately, because manual orders are handled through Helm, a third-party provider, we aren’t able to offer reimbursement. I encourage you to reach out to the selling dealership and explain the situation—they may be able to assist with reimbursement given the circumstances.
I also talked to an agent last Sept. and was supposed to be sent a manual. After not receiving it for 2 months, I checked into it an was told they are waiting for printed copies. I chatted again 2 weeks ago and they are still checking into it. Good luck.
It's crazy but when I had my 25 Stingray it came with an owners manual but when I traded that in on a 25 ERay that did not come with one. I called a toll free number and received my owners manual in a few weeks.
I have a 2022 owners manual if anyone is interested. Some minor verbiage has changed here and there. If you are educated on those small tweaks (such as no longer requiring the added DCT fluid for track duties on a Z51), it should work for most owners. I thought I'd keep it as a memento but even if I someday buy a used Grand Sport, I wont need it.
Puzzled why a printed copy is so important? Never use mine. Can search the PDF version, much quicker than thumbing thru 350+ pages. Heck about anything I buy today requires accessing the instructions on the Net.
But then I see "Can't read on my phone!" Guess for some, where the phone has become an appendage that may be the case. I couldn't run my Internet business without Desktop, Laptop and iPad! Phone is ONLY in my pocket when I leave the house and then NOT when I'm doing my 2 1/2 miles daily walking the dog, fishing etc! When driving, have my iPhone set to not receive calls or foolish text Beeps when moving.
This is NOT Unique to the C8!
The solution is simple - Tell your selling dealer that you want a hardcopy printed OM as part of the sale!
I did ATF when I discovered this "NEW WAY - NOT Included" with my 2026 Acadia. I had the dealer purchase it and provide it to me at N/C. He did.

The pdf version of the User Manual is much simpler to use. If you insist on a paper copy, the only thing accomplished is the sacrifice of a million trees. Perhaps you find a pdf to be mysterious. It is not. As part of the set up of any new PC, installing a free version of Adobe Reader is free and simple to install. You can open pdf files if you use Chrome without Reader. I'm sure Edge and Firefox have pdf readers, but I neve use them. The key is to not be intimidated by the format.
After opening the pdf version of the User Manual, there is a fair chance the Find/Search toolbar will be hidden. Use the shortcut CTRL/F to display it. You can then easily search the manual for specific keywords or topics. Or you can read it page by page. It works much easier than the paper version. And saves all those trees.
The pdf version does require you to concede that yesterday's newspaper is good for the cat box and little else. A worthy goal.

^^^ " pdf version of the User Manual is much simpler to use."
I'M glad it is easier for you. I use PDFs for all sorts of things, but for some activities (like an OM), nothing beats a written TEXT. Not much different than telling someone what political party, religion, time of day to eat, .... is the correct way of doing things I would have phrased it as: "pdf version of the User Manual is much simpler to use - FOR ME, but it may not be for You."
I wonder if the Build Sheet for a 2026 includes the owners manual. My 2020 Build Sheet shows VT7 - OWNERS MANUAL ENGLISH. I guess it doesn't mean it has tobe in paper though.
Some people prefer physical media plain and simple, and thumbing noses at them is silly. My wife has a kindle paperwhite, but still LOVES to curl up with an actual, physical book. And I will never sell my hardcover book collection. Our next and likely final home will have a full library with built-in shelving.
With regard to ease of use and Ctrl+F searches, I'll wager I've been doing that far longer than many forum users, including many of the ones that are looking down on folks wanting a physical OM, because I'm only 47 and have grown up using computers since their burgeoning days and was online using P2P networks, dialing over landlines etc, long before the "internet of things" was a reality.
That doesnt make me better, smarter, or more savvy than someone wanting a physical OM, nor is it saving the planet by not cutting down "millions of trees" (which are grown for the express purpose of making paper, and large forests left unmanaged lead to massive wildfires as CA has learned will never learn).
Why on god's earth some folks on this forum feel the need to talk down to others out of the corner of their mouth (and not being as sly about it as they think) is beyond me. FFS grow up and stop getting all high and mighty toward others simply because they have different preferences. If you like PDF manuals great. In some respects I do too. BUT I support others' desire for a physical OM. /endrant
I prefer to have a physical book type owner's manual, I can take it wherever I want to sit and look through it.
An electronic PDF version on my home PC is okay, able to use search to quickly find something specific, but never use my phone to view it, too freaking small of a screen for this old fart to be comfortable reading it.
On my F250 it came with a physical manual, and it also has it built into the media head unit, I tried that once and then pulled the book out of the glovebox, much better.
If someone is good with the electronic version on their phone screen, that is great, but nothing at ll wrong with a good old fashioned book.
I'm a bit different! Had and early Cell Phone when it was thought for "better than our competitors" all VPs in our newly merged companies would provide all our distributor owner/managers a list of every VP's cell phone number. Said you could call any time day or night! Since we merged 3 top brands that was essentially every Welding/Gas Distributor in the US. The merger of Brand Names created some issues as each of the brands previously had essentially exclusive distribution! BUT our two leading competitors were, by that time, not much different.
When I retired in 2000 thought no need to have everyone calling me wherever I was. When I started my Internet based business a few years later PC's were still being widely used. Admit things are moving to Cell Phones.
SIDEBAR
So about 10 years ago, rather than make my ~100 page Website (which I generated and manage) with lots of tech details, videos etc be "small screen Cell Phone friendly" had daughter and son-in-law (who are both computer savvy with latest video and moving graphics technology) start a business to deal with what is required to sell to folks with Cell Phones. BUT I retain the large fabricators who buy bulk product where there is no need to make custom fit sizes. Don't offer that on my website, only say call if you have >25 welders! It's far easier to serve and the bulk of my $ sales.
I'm an old fart and I have no use for the printed manual. The index is so bad I can't ever find what I am looking for. With PDF search I can find whatever I want very easily. Want a "take it with you" version but your phone screen is too small - get yourself a tablet. As big (or bigger) than the printed manual and you'll have the great PDF search capabilities.
Plus, GM does sometimes update the Owner's Manual - you can download the new version anytime. Printed manual, not so much.
Sometimes the manuals are missing. In the past I have downloaded all of them at one time or another. For a while now, under MY2021, the Corvette model is not even listed. Currently, the link to the 2023 model is broke.
Here's the current availability of manuals for download on the chevy site:
2020 - second printing
2021 - model is missing from list
2022 - second printing
2023 - missing - its listed but when clicked it goes to an error page "not found - no resource found"
2024 - first printing
2025 - edition not stated - probably first printing
2026 - edition not stated - probably first printing
