Has anyone put a Toll Tag inside the frunk? If so, does it work fine? Do you have it on the underside of the (Frunk Lid?) so the tag would be facing down with the Frunk closed. Or do you have it on a surface of the interior of the Frunk with the tag facing up? TIA
In Texas if you have a toll tag with a specific plate registered to it you don’t need to use the toll tag. I have four cars with no sticker on the windshield. It reads the plates perfectly. More than six years now.
I have it in the Frunk. Works just fine. I have against the firewall, the "front" side is facing forward, so it's backwards from how it sits if it was on the inside of the windshield. No issues at all.

Not running a front plate so I don't know how that would affect it. But I don't mind putting a tag in the frunk. Appears it works fine.

Reason: spelling

I thought they charged more if they have to read the plate?

Unless your plate has both 0 (zero) & O in it, then it doesn't read it correctly even with the sticker I can't tell you the number of letters & "past due" toll warnings we get for my wife's vehicle & then the subsequent hours on the phone she's spent dealing with NTTA about this.
It'll charge the account fine for a month then every other toll will be "'missed". It'll auto charge airport parking but then send a past due notice for the parking, etc. I have no doubt we've been overcharged, double-charged, etc. over the years.
That said, our vehicles (minus my Z06) just put the sticker at the top of the windshield behind the mirror - can't see it from inside the car.
I had mine in the frunk, thought it was working fine until I got a letter in the mail from the Illinois tollway authorities saying I had 5 missed tolls. Not happy but I put a new one on the windshield. If you only go through tolls occasionally the plate reader is fine but in Illinois if there are 5 or more they get upset.
Mine is in the frunk but occasionally I have to adjust it because the Velcro doesn’t stick well to the carpet. Maybe if the carpet was thicker it would stick better.

I stuck mine to the plastic piece covering the battery. No problems with carpet.
