Reveal date explained
Many have been perplexed about why the reveal date of 7/18/19 was chosen. I'm almost kicking myself for not realizing it since I grew up with the space program, and my first job after grad school was as a NASA scientist. It was right there all along, with the reveal positioned exactly between lift-off and Moon touchdown of Apollo 11 exactly 50 years later. Corvettes and astronauts were always synonymous. Brilliant and inspirational, GM. Well done!

I absolutely had goose bumps with the opening of the reveal. It was perfectly, perfect. Even the choice of the engineer astronaut beside the fighter pilot astronaut to pay tribute was brilliantly symbolic.
