Default Does a C8 have Android Auto?

I'd assume it does but I'm just curious if it's confirmed.

Looks like the C8 does have Android Auto and Apple Car play. Here's a good video of the display and infotainment overview:

Does the wireless dock have integrated USB ports or am I going to have to run a cable somewhere to enable android auto?

This tech is so close to being ready. Too bad full wireless isn't there yet.

That steering wheel in the natural dipped interior so needs a work over. Probably will look bad in all the 3lt interiors.
Aftermarket, here we come.
Nice that it has Apple Car Play

Why do you say that? It's the same steering wheel as with other colors and trim levels, just with a different strip at the 12 o'clock position.

When I eventually get a C8, I will be placing my phone in the console and just plugging into the USB. I like the wireless charging area but if using Car Play or Android Auto, it doesn't make sense not to use the center console.

Personal opinion, but I think that it need color to match the rest of the interior.

Went to DC auto show today. Corvette looked super, even in a color I dislike. I would tell anyone to go see it. The Supra was there. Ugly. Period. $160,000 Acura NSX was there and looked REALLY good. McLarens were there looking good too (one was $412,000?? as was the $100K Lexus. Vette looked on par with all of them, or better. FAR better than classic Ferraris and Lambos that were there.

As an aside, Mustang SUV looked excellent.

Apple and Google are working on wireless CarPlay/AAuto. Actually you may buy already transmitter and receiver, but this isnt most reliable solution. I hope that within next 2 years they'll finish wireless version, because in C8 this is completely idiotic (wireless charger but you can't use these features in the same time).

and one more thing... iPhone 2021 or 2022 most probably will be without any port, so wireless CarPlay is a fact. Android will be sooner or little after.

iPhone will have a port - USB-C likely - if the EU has their say...

Agreed.
I was EXTREMELY disappointed when I found out my brand new 2016 Camaro SS required me to plug my Android phone in.
This should ALL be wireless by now.

Future GM infotainment systems will have Android built-in, called Android Automotive. No need for phone to run apps. 2021 for C8? I hope so.

I share a lot of other's frustrations with the wireless charging options, that don't allow connectivity to Android Auto. Unless you don't have a smartphone, and/or your vehicle doesn't have Android Auto I don't see the value in the wireless charging only feature. But I hope Android Automotive will be built into the 2021 C8, because I plan to order that MY.

Right now, the only good use for the wireless charger is to charge a 2nd (work) phone, which is what I use it for in my RAM truck. I prefer plugging into the console and keeping my personal phone hidden for CarPlay use.
