One of the nicest features of this forum is the ability to put any person on "ignore" so you are not triggered by seeing any of their posts that might offend you.
Nah. I prefer my suggestion of a dislike option. This way people can be publicly shamed when they act like douchebags.
First of all, the designers wanted to be sure it will still be recognized as a Corvette.
Also, it is not ugly as hell. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
One other thing, mid engine cars have a similar profile.
If if you don’t like it that’s your choice, and some people want to tear it down and have nothing constructive to say about the car. Yes it’s a 60k car but man those guys at Chevy did a hell of a fantastic job putting it together.
Agreed until your last sentence.
1. There Will be stripper variants out there but the 60k drum is being beat too much. There will not be a lot of no option 60k vettes rolling out. I would predict those stripper cars will be the first to hit the used market and will be far and few between. The good news is the used resale of stripper cars will fill the need for those that a new car is beyond the means. Who wouldn’t like a mid to high 40k midengine car!
2. All Chevy has currently done is a fantastic job of selling cars that haven’t even been built yet. I’m positive it will perform incredibly, but a fantastic job of putting it together? At this point.... purely hypothetical. We will see once we have units with some mileage on them, and I’m sure it will be on par with everything thing else they roll out of the factory.
Both cars are red but the Italian car is a much more glowing and shiny red than the C8. How disrespectful on a Corvette forum with a really cool, new Corvette that is about to be released. Seems there is some upset folks out there because the C8 is, the real deal at an affordable price.
Also dude do you really have to come off as such a raging dick?
Well... If you don't like opinions the internet may not be for you! Also, Don't make it personal with name calling.

I get what you are saying, but just because some are not car enthusiast their ignorance does not make the C8 exotic and anyone who would try to pass it off as anything other than a Chevrolet Corvette is a tool. Personally I'd rather my things NOT be confused with something else, and there will always be people who will try to get one over on those less knowledgeable.
They say Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery or Fake it till you make it... Right?
Can't wait to see what some dillhole's gonna do to the C8!
There are massive design similarities here. Plus I know which one I’d enjoy owning more. Owning a la Ferrari would be a massive pain in the butt. Exotics suck to own unless you’ve got serious nearby connections.
So how many exotics have you owned? I also bet you you take a 300lb bearded women over a supermodel as well...... sure you would.....

No but the Covette is not. 300 lb bearded woman. A better choice would a smart, good looking , reasonable spending woman over a high strung, high maintenance, gold digging, super genius, supermodel.
Given that choice, I would take the just good looking, smart woman every time.

So when you're out with the boys, you take the ugly girl home because she's easier to get
full disclosure... it's been over 30 years for me, do people go out clubbing any more? Not that you are a kid, just an ADHD comment.
This thread is for guys only being able to afford a $60 car and because it now has a mid engine think they now have a supercar.
It's so hilarious. These are the folks wearing Corvette hats, shirts and jackets with racing gloves on.
Folks this car is $60k it's a vette and is in no way shape or form anything more. Its unfortunately ugly as hell too.
It is what they made so folks of course have to like it cuz it ain't gonna change.
Nooooo one will mistaken this for a Ferrari or a McLaren. Lol
Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed or something? I'm buying the C8 because I don't want to beat on my R8 on a daily basis. This car will attract some enthusiasts who have been away from the brand for awhile who are currently driving Ferrari's, R8's. Porsches. etc. And probably buying as an additional car - not necessarily as a replacement. I haven't had a Corvette in 30 years but I have a C8 on order - and I can drive whatever car I want.
