Thanks it’s stock other than 275mm drag radials and CTS spares up front, I run scca autocross and time trials in stock class. It’s a manual as a C6 auto wouldn’t 60’ that fast. It’s a 3LT as well, 1LT narrow body LS3 Z51 with smaller brakes would easily be a tenth faster.

The point of posting the video is that the PDR and timer are innacurate on a fairly grand scale. The dragy is way better.

It is still a 2.8 or 2.9 car but people have to be kidding themselves with the 2.6-2.7 stuff. We are probably talking 100 whp difference between a stock 2.8x run and a high 2.6x run.

DA 1900
PDR showed 3.2 in his 3.1 run and 11.56 which is totally not his best try at all
In his first run he did 2.9 in PDR and 11.45 in dragslip but he forgot to connect dragy in that run.

He said he has a transmission issue in 1-2 shifting and you can see it clearly in the dragy curves. Now it is resolved after transmission reprogramming and he will do some testing again.

.

You’re not allowed to say that. The fanboys will accuse you of being a hater. Shame on you.

All real enthusiasts want for any car is accurate data. It’s that simple.

The C8 is fantastic...better than my expectations...but the PDR is definitely ‘optimistic’ with its timing.

I thought it was better than that given he had a hoodie on, regardless I don’t follow your logic of how you believe he actually went .3 faster 0-60 on the first run according to the PDR in which the 1/4 time from PDR was even off .25 he said? Yet the second and 3rd runs had very similar 60’ and 330’ though mph was down 1 which resulted in it being a tenth slower which I’m guessing was because the car or ambient temp got warmer. Being there was only a tenth difference in 1/4, do you not think if he’d actually been .3 faster 0-60mph then the time slip would have reflected that in the 60’, 330’ and 1/4? The moral of the story is the pdr can’t be trusted just like the dash timer can’t as he stated, it’s a let down when you’ve been telling her you’ve got a foot long and she bust out the tape measure which says otherwise.

Some of the anti C8 obsessions are just beyond ridiculous. ............finding any little thing to cry about........I didn't know the car was such a POS until I read about it in a Corvette fan forum site. All this b****ing and moaning over a couple lousy hundredths of a second. People are dying all over the world and all some of you give a crap about is what dragy says. Personally I think some priorities need greatly adjusting.
Time to eat some almost 5 year old crow. I guess when I posted this, I was in one of my foul moods. Anyway, I found out this past weekend that the PDR is way off from the time slip at the drag strip. I ran a 11.15, PDR showed 10.70, another pass of 11.10, PDR showed 10.60, last pass of 11.40 PDR showed 10.70.

So, how did I come about finding this obscure and way old thread. I was doing a search on where to install a Dragy and found this linked to google. Since I was raised well and was told it never hurt to say I'm sorry or to say please, or thank you, I felt that eating some crow was the right thing to do.

By the way, I should receive my new dragy tomorrow.
