New RED!
I posted pics from last months "OFFICIAL GM" Virtual Bash that was posted by a person I respect and has some Vette management friends- Jagamajajaran! I have prepared and given many corporate presentations and would never have put that pic in an event like the recent GM Virtual Bash if it were that far off. From when "Red Mist" was announced there have been several "reported official" conflicting descriptions and pictures of what Red Mist would look like. Was concerned that even though I'm at Event Code 3000 I might get forced into a 2021 with little time to make a color decision. Now that it appears I'll get the 2020 C8 I ordered not as concerned for myself. However getting my 2020 C8 is not assured nor is the exact "Red Mist" color! Perhaps this "latest graphic" is accurate, which is great.
SIDEBAR
Not that your comment was that critical but it just struck me funny as although not related to this topic, there were recently two posts re my 2017 Grand Sport on the 4 Sale Forum and often get very positive emails and PM's from the "Silent Majority" who often view a Thread well over 10 times more than the "Vocal Minority" posters (this one is ~60 Views to 1 Poster.) Some just won't deal with the critical comments on the forum.
The top two are the posts, the bottom an email:
Post: 7/1/2020; A bump for one of the nicest, most helpful, persons on this forum.
Post: 7/2/2020; Jerry I used your guide to install my shifter and it was really helpful. Good luck with the sale and the C8!
Email: Jerry, All the morons that keep their heads in the sand will never understand or believe you. They are obviously too stupid and closed minded to even consider a big picture and overall direction of change. They all think they are so smug, but one day they will look around and realize they were just wrong. Of course none will have the character to admit it. Stay strong.
Keeps me going!

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
That GM Bash pic posted by Jagamajajaran, who has a lot of credibility to me and most others, is what I have quoted. IF this new sketch is accurate great BUT I call it like I see it and what was shown end May from what is usually a great source, the GM Bash!

Looks like a "good marketing graphic pic" to me. IF it's a real car, I'd fire the marketing folks who let me get on the Stage at the Bash and show a color that was far from this one!
Time will tell! Great if it is accurate.

Look none of us know what the new red will really look like just like the 2020 yellow until people saw it for themselves. That included what did it look like on the Chevy Configurator web site and many other "official" releases.

The C8 will be my 6th Vette. The first, a 1988 was Red, my 1993 40th Anniversary was Ruby Red, got Velocity Yellow for my C6. Was planning on Atomic Orange for the C6 but at the last minute GM said it would not be Tintocat as they were adding a Blue with Tintcoat and had to remove it from one color as they were limited in how many they could have due to paint shop limitations. Pursched early i the year so could not see it in person so got Velocity yellow as it was still Tintcoat!
My 2014 Z51 was Chrystal Red Metallic and my first White car is my current Grand Sport.
Thought I'd get Yellow for the C8. BUT when the actual Accelerate Yellow color was seen on a car- NOT for me. Black is a popular color but not for me in the "Sunny South." Of the choices I and my wife liked (yep she gets to pick colors,) Long Beach Red was selected.
If forced into a 2021 was not going to take a chance if a quick decision had to be made. My concern was what exactly will it look likwe. Be very happy with this "marketing graphic color" if that is what it will be!
Hopefully GM will follow through and have all Event Code 3000's made as 2020's and it won't be an issue for me BUT for Event Code 1100 cars that will get 2021s have to be careful.

Jeremy just faithfully reproduced what was shown at the virtual Bash and made no claims about it. Now weeks later, we have an actual picture, which depicts what is likely a far more accurate representation of the color.
I remember the same debate going on during the big Sebring Orange debut. The initial sketches GM showed didn't come close to what the actual color looked like.

I lightened it very little because a poster said they were all dark. The pic of all 2021 colors was untouched. I don't agree that is an actual picture. Heck my Marketing graphics folks could made it look real 20 years ago when I was still working full time. Perhaps it is the "real color," and if it that's the case, and I were Charles or Tadge who presented that pic at the Bash, I'd have someone's head!
Lets hope for those that may have to make a decision, like Accelerate Yellow (as AzDave47 said) they can be sure what it will look like before committing to an order!
