Default Under Splitter Protector C8

I wanted to ask all my corvette friends about their experience with the Under Splitter Protector GM Accessory item XUSP10 Ground Effect. Does did decrease the clearance from the front of the car to the ground. I am ordering a 2LT non Z51 vette. Is it worth the $449. Would appreciate if someone had pictures to share.
Thanks,
Uno

I've only had mine for about 2 months and it's already been beat to heck. I got it from a forum member who upgraded to the nicer aero kit.

Here's a pic:

That is made by Scrape Armor. Click the link to be directed to their product page where you will find more information and some photos.

any options along those lines for the full aero package splitter? I don’t think the scrape armor seems to work with the 5VM kit

OP, the part you listed is only on the underside scrape protector. It is NOT the actual splitter, so it is not visible from above.

Will the front end memory lift option help avoid scraping? I'm about to order and planned to get it as an option. This will be my 5th Corvette, so I'm very aware of the front end of the car when pulling in and out of steep spots or going over speed bumps.

I realized that after I went to scrapearmor.com and saw the pictures for $449 same as cost for the GM Ground Effects (Under splitter protector for Stingray) Part No. XUSP10 which goes across and visable which I think would look nice. I would love to see pictures of anyone who has had it placed on their 2LT.

For $450 you could buy THREE of the OEM Tupperware splitters. I had my C7 over six years and only wrecked and replaced the splitter once. I don’t think buying the Scrape Armor makes financial sense.

Food for thought, the base car has a better approach angle than the Z51 with the lift option in the up position.

You can buy three complete OEM splitters for less than the cost of the Scrape Armor. And if you only damage one part of it, you can order each of the three pieces individually. I think I'll take my chances.
