These things just add weight, complexity and they're just one more thing to go wrong, they should've just used a door latch.

Thanks for posting this. My ‘24 Frunk acts just like yours. Sometimes it’s fine, sometimes the pull down doesn’t work at all. I have to activate the inside latch to open, lift the lid and try again.

dealer replace the fronk latch 6/5/26 after sitting there for a week [code B1C85] .....it worked like new for 1 day gonna try another dealer next week

It's usually a hood alignment issue. I had mine realigned and now it works every time.
