Default Auto Addict Frunk Open Problems

I have the auto addict full carbon fiber zr1 hood purchased from paragon. My trunk when I pop it doest want to open. It pops up and than sucks back down. I have to quickly get my fingers in and pull it up. Anyone else having this issue after install? Was installed by top tier corvette shop so not error in install. 2025 model stingray if it makes a difference. My only thought is even for a cf hood its damn heavy.

they looked it at and tried to see if it was a lining up issue. Was not. They can't figure it out. Suggested reaching out to auto addict which i will do. I have heard some people have just had issues with the soft close trunk. But im sure GM will tell me that they cant help since I changed the frunk/hood. Plus I dont like bringing my car to any gm dealer.

did you have this problem before you changed it / did you compare lid weights before you changed it ? ?

no issues before but I have very little miles on car so didn't use it often. I did not weigh them but there is no doubt the zr1 hood is heavier even in full carbon fiber. It could be that simple. But sometimes it does work. So its weird

fronk closure problems are not uncommon , i had it on my 25 e and at times it was a chore to get it closed .....it would soft pull down only to pop up again then i had to get my fingers under the lip and press the fob frunk button to open , then it would time out and only close with my 2 palms . Lately its been behaving because i now just drop it to close gently , i did spray lube it once but i don't know if that had any effect .......seems to me the trick is all in the force you use to close it but keep in mind about the time out . Your extra weight might be equal to too hard closing . Some have reported success adjusting the 2 stops .
