Hey guys I picked up a 2023 recently and noticed the trim on the door is sticky where the black part is folded up a bit. Any idea what this black piece does and should i have the dealer fix it when I’m in? Almost seems like it got it moved or something

There is another thread (somewhere on this forum) with the same question/ issue.
My recollection is this gap is on many cars, and on mine.
And this gap may not be on both doors.
Gap size seems to very and is more noticable with some colors.
The repair is to remove the door panel and install a replacement "sticker" moulding part.
I am not fixing mine, unless I have to remove the door panel for some other reason.
Is this normal on the door trim?
