Calabogie days and nights reprise
So Radguy showed the rest ....fell off. To summarize rain the first day great skid pad fun was had. Day 2 Radguy showed up the weather was primo and even more fun was had. Devon Powell showed up to deliver a Z06 race car recently aquired by Richard, one of the partners in Calabogie. Car is fast everyone is happy.
Point is, if you want to do a Corvette group thing again, pm me or email at qwikredline@hotmail.com or pm 1badrisk and put this date on your calendar: September 10,11.
as far as Calabogie is concerned as a destination? Have someone bring your truck and trailer up for you Greg, as the drive up from Actinolite off 7 up the Flinton road and over to 41 and centenial lake road are as good a driving adventure with a Corvette as 323 used to be from Montebello to Mt. Trembant. These roads are a blast!
Calabogie as a race track; excellent surface, smooth as glass, technically very challenging, good mid range speed, track and hard but not impossible to wreck your car.
for infrastructure, the facilities are 5 star resort. Full garage tire changing capability available. Nicer washrooms than the Toronto Hilton and less chance of meeting a ....never mind...
for this deal in September? exclusive, for Corvettes only, by invitation only and the price the same as before if booked in advance. But credentials are important so gotta know your track experience...thanks

wednesday early evening dinner and modest libation (this for MOSPORT1 : this reads MODEST) on the 3rd floor Calabogie tower bistro overlooking the front straight, after racin' is done; Richard and Calabogie Motorsports are hosting....that means pizza and beer for us more country folks....a bunch of the Apex guys including the two main guys say they are comin'. Mark September 9/10 on your calendar and speak up now space is not infinite and the deal is very good. The awesome ride trip up departs the Powell RaceShop around 3-4 pm the afternoon of the 8th...
