Default A&A install on a 08 C6 A6

Just finished up a A&A install on a 08 C6 A6. Thought we would share some pics of the install.

Self contained Si-trim-no drilling into the oil pan!

American Racing headers installed

A&A FMIC

Turbo Smart BOV

All finished!

OK, so, I'll be the 1st to ask - what's the numbers after the tune? Didja get a before and after HP number? We all always want to know the HP numbers....

I always wondered why Vortech and the others preferred to drill into the oil pan and get the oil supply from there. Paxton had the right idea back in the late 80s with their self contained oil supply. You just gotta make sure you change the fluid often. I would change the fluid in my Paxton after every trip to the drag strip, or after every 1000 km of street driving. IIRC, a complete fluid change in my Paxton was about a third of a bottle of Ford ATF trans fluid, so it wasn't costly at all.

What kind of fluid does this blower use? I hope it's not that same stinky stuff that goes in the GM 3.8L engine's blower (like in the Grand Prix GTP), that stuff smells like death!

It is offered as an upgrade Pat. Self contained is available but not everyone wants to change the oil in it either. The DIY's would likely lean towards a self contained. Its a preference thing.

Nice Install Arun!
