Default Ohsweken Speedway Last night

A few of the WEP went to see Tony Stewart race in the World of Outlaws event a Ohswegen Speedway last night.
What a Blast. Great event. Tony led all 30 laps for the win.
These cars have to weigh less than 1400 lbs including the driver and have over 900 HP. Talk about acceleration. Wow
Check out this You tube Video.

They were in Cornwall on Sunday night... Steve Kinser was doing 10.2 around our 1/4 banked track.. Just flying. Totally nuts. and they do it sideways - 3 wide.

DIRT Racing is AWESOME.

If you're ever near Brockville, Cornwall - check out their tracks... Damn good racing programs, and a good cheap fun night out.

Never been to Oshweken - but it's on the bucketlist. The announcers talk about the racing there - and the big names that get there... Sounds like a good place.

They run at Ohswegan every Friday night.
The World of Outlaws comes once a year.
We call it the Redneck 500. Weirdest group of people you have ever seen.
The 50/50 draw was $7,900.00

Next year we will set up a CF forum ticket purchase.
Dirt track racing is a Blast to watch.

Larry goes every year with his Nascar stuff to sell.

Still picking the sand out of my ears.

I was surprised to see all the CF boys out to this event..
I didnt think you "waxers" like to get dirty..

It really is something you have to experience in person

Serious? What kind of a redneck event is that

When I use to redneck wrecking car race, I had at least 6 into me beforehand, and I was a driver

Mike,

A large amount of the spectators show up for the 2 day event with RV's and do serious tailgating before the races!

I'm sure every trailer park within 100 miles of the track, were missing their full time residents for the last couple of days.

No beer, but you could have bought cheap smokes at about 50 places as soon as we entered the reservation.

Yep was there on the big Denny's bus.
Great annual outing for the Halton Peel Agricultural Society !
Though it's a better show down in Fla in February because all the Outlaws are there.
When they come up here only about a dozen come up and the rest of the field are the local guys who are probably just running their regular 360 motors not the 410's like the All Stars and Outlaws usually run.

Timmay : I wasn't to fired up about driving up to Ottawa this afternoon after a late last night at Ohsweken and the forecast for Ottawa was crap - so never went.
