Default C6 B&B FUSION on C5Z06.....My Winter Mods

For you stock guys : there is nothing stock left on this car Most guys that do the tr6060 and C6 Z06 diff swap have to modify the exhaust
at the rear. Mine was done like this, and I never really liked the sound, so I had this idea of cutting the well out , and installing 3" straight back to C6 3" cat backs. I must say that this was a little bit of a gamble , but after lots of measurements and discussion , I bought a used C6 Z06 B&B fusion here on the forum, the cans had small dents on the bottom, cheaper for me. Everything else is AMERICAN RACING.
The front 1/2 of "X" pipe is C5z06 c/w cats, and the cays where cut on the taper @ 3" , and some scrap 3" stainless was welded in to join the back 1/2 American racing C6 Z06 "X" pipe, which slip fits to the Fusions.
Here are some pics..............

A leftover [from my work] piece of 3/16" fiber board was epoxied in to fill the cut out, sound deadening was placed on top.

Exhaust mocked up

finish

With the valve closed , it is about 20% quieter than with the old exhaust. With it open, it is a lot louder

Best of both worlds - good for long cruises - shows who's King
