Changed the steering wheel, shifter/boot, e-break and arm rest to the suede with blue stitching. while it was all out took the factory nav out and put in the Pioneer Z150 deck and reconnected the USB in the arm rest so I can still use that for music. set up for the reverse camera but ran out of time so the wiring is in the hatch for now....

thought i'd move this to page two as it might get missed.

I'm no thermo engineer but when I laid a similar foil heat-break material around the floors, firewall and console, I put the shiny side down (thinking it will reflect the infrared heat back from it's source.)

Sure made a great difference to our comfort in the car, specially when we're down south and the road temps are over 100°F.

Little surprised though that the ZR1 wouldn't already have sufficient heat barriers already engineered in.

this stuff is shinny on both sides and air pockets in the middle...

they did on the sides, and a little insulation around the cup holder... but with the trip I just had with the car my cold drink didn't stay cold .. so I thought to go overboard

Right on. And yes, I should have thought of that as I think I've used the same stuff to wrap bathroom exhaust vents in the attic. They were condensating a lot during the cold months.

The material I used in my car was a heavy fibreglass-cloth ceramic/kevlar weave and foil on one side, which I got from an industrial client. Works great!

Guess you're itching for a cruise now!!!

Congrats on the fantastic car Ice! She looks awesome...Great trip report, too! You are lucky We left 2 days later after the storm had passed and still got stuck, but on the N route. Highly recommend you sign up for the May 31/Jun1 Trillium event at CTMP Grand Prix track - you will love it - I guarantee it! Enjoy the car, those ZR1s are one of the kind and superbly capable, like no other. PS As to the hotels...what did I tell ya? Oh well, chock it up to the adventure. All is well that end well LOL

Hey thought I would bring this thread back to life sharing that I still have the ZR1, actually the only car i've owned for more than a season (usually get board).

Have to say, by far the best car i've owned !! And each spring when I take it out (not taking it out just yet) i just feel at home and the joy it brings is awesome !

Anyone else ZR1 owners?
