Hi Canadian CF Members.

Some of you have been asking if you might be able to contribute to a charity or cause on Bill's behalf. Well, here it is:

We are driving towards purchasing a Granite Bench at the National Corvette Museum. It will be engraved in Bill's memory (not even thought about what it might say), but first we need help in reaching a $5,000 goal to purchase it.

This drive is not just for Canadian Members - there is a sticky thread at the top of the "Off Topic" section where Bill used to hang out mostly. Visit that thread to see comments and updates. The NCM will be keeping me updated on our progress. If the CF can't reach $5,000, there are other gifts we can purchase to remember Bill.

I know the currency exchange is tough on us Canucks, but contribute what you can - every dollar - US Canadian or otherwise makes a difference.

I would hate to see this opportunity to help the memory of a fellow car enthusiast go to waste. Bill was just a jewel of a person---for all the obstacles that have been thrown in his path---he was just the type never to complain about his own delima's in life but wonder how YOU where doing? Bill never had much materialistic things in life--but he sure had a church community as family and we as corvette enthusiast as friend also. From talking to people that knew him--he would often feed his 2 cats better and go hungry himself near the end of the month when money was tight. One of lifes lessons that has always been a part of my life is charity. On lifes wheel of fortune there are people on the lower rungs of life that would give if they had the ability---Bill was one such man. I am sure if the rolls where reversed that Bill would go without---to be able to help someone he considered more in need. Lets not let this opportunity that Jack has arranged fall by the wayside. This donation will for a minute let us reflect and feel just a little bit better about our selves and this world. Godspeed Bill

I am still collecting funds to by a brick at the NCM honouring Bill Mason. His body was cremated and we have his ashes - hoping to plan something soon on this - but he otherwise will have passed thru this world without a marker as to who he was.

Looks like a bench will be too much of a stretch, but a brick at the NCM will also serve as a great memorial. We are half way there in being able to buy a 24x24 inch engraved brick (paving stone).

If you can contribute anything, anything at all, it would be most appreciated. I will ensure your funds get to the Museum, every last penny...
