TPMS sensors
Hello all
I have a question regarding tpms sensors.
An old co-worker recently purchased an 08 C6 from a dealer.
The car has aftermarket wheels but there aren't any tpms sensors.
Don't they have to be on the car to pass the safety before purchase?
Thanks in advance
Brian

Item and Method of Inspection:
Additional Inspection Procedure(s):
Measure tire inflation pressure using a suitable gauge.
Note:
If a tire is initially over / under inflated, it is acceptable to remove / add air prior to completing the inspection. When inflation pressure is corrected by more than 5 psi, record initial and final pressure in the inspection report.
Note:
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is not a requirement in Canada.
Record on report that TPMS tell-tale indicates fault, if illuminated during vehicle operation.

Recommended tire inflation pressure is based on data provided by the vehicle manufacturer.
Ensure pressure is as required by OEM.
Reject if..
- leaking tire will not maintain a constant air pressure
Valve stem
Reject if..
- cracked, damaged, leaking or inaccessible
- prevents measurement of tire pressure
- prevents inflation or deflation of tire
Tire inflation system
Reject if..
- lines or other components leaking
