I cheated and keyed it in myself and was shocked to see it adds $600 value to the trade in! That was a surprise to me, honestly! I wonder if a dealer would really give you this much more for it though? I would definitely come "armed" to any negotiation with a dealer with a printout of the black book trade in value and not accept anything less than what it says your car is truly worth.

I still say not to give them both tops though. There seems to be no added value for having both, but an added value for the glass, so keep your painted top as it can definitely sell quickly.

That's correct - the Wholesale Cdn Book Value shows worth exactly $600 more!
So I have both these printouts now - & next time - probably will go in with just the solid top - then first negotiate without the glass - then offer it along with the car for a bit more.
Maybe I won't get the full $600 - but I mean - we've already established what you CHEAP guys are willing to pay me!
Hahaha!

I'm editing to add:
Makes no sense for me to keep the solid top in this case - cause "Supersonic Blue" was not a high order colour - so would never sell on its own.
But: If anyone here is a member of the Flying Roof club - you might want to make me an offer on it right now - then you'd have a backup!

That is good, you can never know with options, for e.g., when I ordered my C6 with the A6 it was extra $$$ but the Blackbook actually deducts a number from the value if you have an A6 (I checked a few years ago).

So a Used Corvette with an A6 is worth Less than if with an M6?
I didn't know that!
Another good negotiating point for me!!

So here's the answer:
For my year 2011 & up to & including 2013 - the Cdn Black Book does not ask for the type of transmission - which means both are now valued the same.
But when I typed to be trading in a 2014 - the transmission type began to be asked.

For my 05, the only thing that adds value is the 6 speed manual. Odd that it went the other way on the newer cars, the auto adds value to them.

It's still worth something though, for those flying roof club people. It's still cheaper for them to buy your roof and repaint it than it is to buy a new one from GM.

Yea - but I can see it sitting around for years before anyone is interested.
I'm supposed to declutter the garage - not add to the problem...Haha

So I finally found my new ride today - after a few months of searching.
My 2011 Corvette is being traded in - 2 roofs, glass & solid panel - on a 2013 Mercedes SL63.
And here is how I worked the glass roof into the deal...
First got their trade estimate mentioning the solid panel roof only. The value offered was in line with others I'd seen. They indicated this was the best they could do - no better.
Then - I mentioned having a glass roof as well - and conditional on including it - I was able to get an additional $1,000 on my trade!
