Honest and competent Corvette mechanic, Toronto, Canada area
Hi there,
I know that this question has been asked many times, so sorry.
I am a newer member, so my apologies.
I am looking for an honest and competent Corvette mechanic, in the Toronto, Canada area.
I would be willing to drive for the right shoppe, even if it is out of the area.
In searching the Forums, I found some mechanics but some of the posts are older or I am not seeing them.

I use Stevenson Specialty Cars in Port Perry. Dave (the owner) is a great guy to deal with. I live in South Etobicoke and it's worth the drive to Port Perry for him to look after my car.

Champion Motors in Scarboro.
Been going to them for years. Both owners are Vette owners and also take their cars to the track with some of the fastest Vettes in Canada. Full service shop and great guys!

I go to the track a lot and I’ve never seen any evidence of Champion Motors.......maybe you mean the strip..... track usually refers to a road racing circuit.......which I spend a lot of time at.......in the company of at least another 7 or 8 vettes, ALL track prepped by Dave Stevenson.
Dave prepped a lot of the Powell Motorsport cars which won numerous Canadian and USA championships.
He’s reasonably priced and extremely talented. No reason to go anywhere else.
😀👍🏻🍻

My mother was a vette owner too but I wouldn’t want her wrenching on my car!

I have never been to Dave, but heard only good things and Powell is renowned and respected name in the Vette world.
I have been going to Champion for years, and they have been in business a long time, so I can personally vouch for them.
There doesn't have to be just one answer, we are lucky to have multiple qualified shops to take our cars to.

I've had my vettes serviced by both Champion and Stevenson's.
You can't go wrong with either one.
Honest and quality work and deep knowledge.
Go where is convenient for you.
Dave at Stevenson's or Rob and Peter at Champion will help you out.

I think the question was for the 'Toronto' area, not 2 hrs away and yes the quarter mile can be considered 'track' too

Never heard of a drag track
And Port Perry is about 40 minutes from say Richmond Hill area.
It’s worth the drive to Acton......er PP.

Wow!,. Do some research before spewing crap, including NHRA website where the word "track" is used often

1/4 mile at a time is the only way to prove mods, power, tuning, driving ability, etc etc all at one location and time...
Everybody knows this, but the waxers just won't admit it...

Don’t see much mention of drag racing here, except when they call it a drag strip.......

Raising an old thread here …….
Many have recommended Dave at Stevenson’s ……. how well does he know chrome bumper C3’s? I am looking for someone closer to home to look after my very original LT-1.
TIA ….. Roy
