1970 Canadian Corvette Engine Oil Decal
Hi,
I figure I should send this to the Canadian forum as well as the C3-General forum...
Just wondering if there are guys/gals out there that have Corvette's that were exported to Canada.
Canadian cars had an Engine Oil Recommendations decal below the emissions decal in the engine bay on the firewall.
There is a vendor that sells them, and there is a difference between a 68-69 versus a 70-71.
It appears that my car had the 68-69 version, and I am just wondering that maybe it's because my car is an early 1970 (build Jan. 24, 1970). If there are other 1970 Canadian cars out there, can you let me know if you have an early/late 1970 and which decal you have.
Here is the decal that was removed from my car during the restoration:
Here is the 1968-1969 version from the vendor: (which mine corresponds to)
Here is the 1970-1971 from the vendor:

Just checking if anyone has a 1970 that was an export to Canada... and if you have any pictures of the engine bay specifically where the emissions label is... basically above where the brake booster is located.
Just trying to figure out that since my car is an early production 1970 (#1757) that that is why i have a 68-69 label instead of a 1970 one...
Thanks.

HI. I have a late 69 with the top decal. It seems that GM seemed to use up their stock of parts before they switched over even if it was into the next years run. I would strongly suspect that since you were an early (Jan) build they wanted to use all the older decals. Couldn't of been to many built that month destined to come up north. Take care.
