Default Anybody here work/own a SkiDoo dealership? (sled purchase)

I'm looking to buy a new sled with the next few weeks.

Blizzard or Renegade ADR, 850etec or possibly a 600etc, I'm undecided (no 4 strokes) and leftover 2017 or 2018 model. I'd even consider a low,low KM used one (less than 2000km)

Thought I'd post it here in case some 'vette brethren work or own a dealership.

I'm all ears.

I bought my first brand new 1971 Moto Ski Capri @ Henry's Lawn and Garden in Orangeville and it cost 695.00.

OP you know your stuff take a good look at used private I thinking you can buy a lot of gently used sled for the money.

Enjoy the seasoN!

IMO gently used sled are still commanding a premium dollar, and typically without any remaining warranty. Depending on the year, the price discount isn't much.

A 2015/16 depending on the model, with less than 2500km is usually only $2500/3000 off the price of a new '17 or '18 by the time you add in all the dealer fees and costs.

New Blizzard 600 etec, I've got three prices, out the door, at $15250 to $15700 with a two or three year warranty.
A used blizzard 600 etec, 5000km, no warranty, $13k plus any taxes. Crazy. They probobly still owe that much if it's financed.

I've bought used sleds before, typically they're not "Sunday drivers". Some weekend warrior with a sled with 150hp, it's been ridden hard. Especially when the ad says "4000km and it has a new track". It's like buying a track use car that says "3000km, never abused, new clutch and tires", I'll pass.

Sent a few email last night, and Larry's was one of them. We'll see what they say.

Thanks for the offer.
If I go it'll be a quick trip.
I have to get to Milverton to inter my mom, hopefully in the next couple weeks. Depends on how long in the year the cemetery custodian is will to dig. Getting late I think.

You'll love the 850! Just traded in my Skidoo 1200 that I had turbo'd on an 18 850X package and don't miss it at all. Only have 100 km's on the new sled but it's awesome so far.

Noticing a lot of red trails up your way Mike. We've gone yellow around town......but no matter now as the tree line is finally in to run the bay. Hope you're able to throw some km's on soon brother.

Only about 100km on the new rig so far. No snow after the big melt. Next week looks promising though. Trails will have a great base, we just need something to groom now.

A buddy and I were actually thinking of heading your way sometime this winter. Then Head towards Owen sound or maybe Tobermory. Also might do Cochrane and Abitibi Canyon again this winter.

I just rolled over 600 km this afternoon before heading for work tonight. We lost almost 18” in our yard due to the melt. Luckily, the trails held up really well. Right now I think Parry Sound, us and Tobermory are the only areas close by that are open. Keep in touch and let me know if you’ll be down this way. Heather is heading to our place in Turks for February and March; but I had to burn some vacation time to go down after the Hurricanes.....so I’m stuck here for at least the next 6 weeks. Might as well get as much riding in as possible.

This thing is awesome. Slower with the big windshield, compared to little ball freezer it came with. Constant power, It just pulls, no flat spots, pulls the skis at any speed. Fastest sled I've ever been on.

Lots of sleds out in Haliburton today. We have had a fair bit of snow over the past week.

Nice machine Mike.

Lol @ Brian. I have that same photo, but mine blurry as anything. Lol

I just came in from a post work rip. Met a neighbor, he just moved in about two weeks ago. We put on about 100km from 4pm till 6pm.

After I get the boy in bed I might head out "the long way" to the gas station.

I'll post up the shot I took of the speedo if I can get my phone to sync to the iPad. Technology isn't my thing.......

Edit: hope it worked

What were the conditions when you pulled that for top end? My 129" hasn't came close to that but have only tried it on regular running, packed snow trails. Have 2700 km's on mine now and other then hating the stock ski's and it being thirsty the machine works well.

I've got just shy of 800km on mine so far. Heading to Kap for a week, that'll add up the K's quickly

137" here. Hard packed lake ice road, about 2km. 7900rpm, still had throttle left.

What skis? Mine are so-so. 4" carbides are junk. I put 7" shapers on it, might need to lengthen the center shock a click or two. Going to mess with it tomorrow a bit.

295km on Thursday, burned 39L. No high speed stuff, well nothing over 150 anyway. Buddy with a 1200 enduro burned 45L on the same trip. Other guy with the 500 fan GT burned 44L.
