CBI in Niagara Falls NY Moving
FYI to the members that pick up parcels/parts @ CBI. They are moving to a larger facility which is supposed to be up & running by early June 2018 & their Military Trail office is closing February 3/18. The new facility is near the Outlet Mall, but no specific address given as of this date.More information pending. Will post as I get it or check out their website at www.cbiusa.com.

Another alternative is NYaddress http://www.mynasn.com/ $3 per package. Held up to 4 months.
Been using them 2 years no issues and really close to border.

These services really make a lot of sense when you consider that many companies will ship for free in the lower 48. The cost to ship to Canada is outrageous so it is probably worth a drive to the Falls or Buffalo.

Plus if you show up there with close to an empty tank of gas, grab that while you're down there and save $20 or more on that fill up!

Plus there is a new gas station complex just after you cross the border, south of the casino in what used to be a parking lot. It’s on the rh side just after the first light if you cross over at the Rainbow bridge.

I signed on last night,I’ll give them a try.Sounds like CBI will be close to them when they open at the new location.I’m just a few minutes from the border & use my Nexus card. Fast, easy, no line ups.

so when you pick up your parts you just tell border crossing you ordered online and just driving over to pick up, pay the tax or get lucky and get waived through?

Best policy I have found is to be honest with them. They can cause you a world of hurt for BS'ing them if you get caught. If the amount is not great I have been waived through a couple of times.

As of today, 1/31/2018, building is locked up/condemned. Don't know how I'll get my packages waiting inside. Have left message for owner but not feeling optimistic since he's apparently had months to deal with the infractions.
Now, I realize that it was reviewed 3 days after your post... so you may or may not know what happned... but does anyone know if this place is still open and operating? The reviews look kinda ballz but at $3/pkg I might just take the risk for a few minor amazon buys...

Just my story with these goofs.
I ordered 4 items from amazon. Just my luck, amazon sends 4 items in 3 different shipments.
2 of the 3 show up in their crude but workable online tracking system when i manually check. none of them got "updated' otherwise.
I try to call a few times... it just rings, nobody there?
no problem, I'll send an email to confirm they can have it ready for me, i'll be over saturday late afternoon.
Never got a reply.
One of the items shows that it was "delivered April 11. Your package was left on the dock. The delivery was signed by: MIKE"
no problem... UPS says Mike's got it, should be fine.
I've never been there before. Today was my first time.
It's in a shady part of town. The fact that there is a police station across the street means absolutely nothing.
within 3 seconds a dude with a cane starts running up to me from across the street asking me for money, very aggressively. I'm from toronto, I can handle this.
No problem, I'll tell him I can't help him, politely, eh?!, and find my way into the Kresge that looks like it was built in 1925.
The building is a complete **** hole. It could be a movie set for a 1920s shackland joint. It's really that bad. It's disgustingly filthy, there is **** all over the place, and the security of the items there is non-existent. Two spots where the roof is leaking...in the "waiting area"? the drip drip drip breaks the silence. No problem, i'm saving a few bucks over CBI... it'll all be worth it I tell myself. Plenty of good reviews... surely not all of these people think that Tremendous is fine dining... i should be fine.
15 min later, a guy the size of a volkswagen beetle shows up. I realize why things are so slow.
10 more mins later, he comes back with 2 of the 3 boxes.
"I can't find the other one..."
"if you want me to help you look, just tell me where it should be, and i'll look for my name on each box" I offer.
I walk into the "back" room... **** is all over the floor.... there are boxes that are right under more fresh drips from the ceiling. "thank god that's not my stuff!" i'm thinking...
I'm not kidding, this place wouldn't pass any standard as it's condemnable. Anyone who tries to put lipstick on this pig is a paid shill.
15 mins later, I'm going thru peoples stuff one by one. I can't find my box.
I walk back to the front where the beetle is working with another guy who is asking why his tracking number doens't show up anywhere.
"you having a problem with your stuff too?" i ask.
"I'm not sure...we've been looking for this box since November"
....I'm thinking... fvck... this is a diaster.
Anyway, long story short, my back hurts bending down, organizing this dude's place, looking for my box. Nothing.
"So, what happens now? I bought a pair if items... missing one makes the set useless..." ( I bought a pair of rear shocks for my daily driver...)
"Call the owner...he'll try to find it with Mike"
"what's his number?" I ask.
"I don't know...i'll look it up for you...
Patrick Gabriel, 905-390-3500... ask for him. he'll help you out."
I tried calling when i got back to my car, no answer.
I'll try to reach this patrick guy and see what he says.
I'm open to any advice here...
One thing i will tell anyone who cares to listen:
This place makes the Salvation Army look like Holt Renfrew. I would NEVER recommend it. if you value your stuff, use some other service.
I'll keep y'all posted. At the very least, this is my diary of what's happened so far.
