Going down to Carlisle in a couple of weeks (can never seem to make it to the vette show so gonna just take in the spring show instead)
What's the preferred route these days?
Not sure what the roads are like, better to go 219 or 390?

219 is 4 lane down to the interstate i am quite sure, traveled that route weekly back in the day when it was a 2 lane cow path. 50 miles longer going 390 and down.

Wild willie and any of that crew have the best routing. am sure one of them will chime in for you.

219 is still mostly 2 lanes...very slow going!

Watch out for radar in New York State.

Last couple of years they've been pretty aggressive.

They also share their information with Ontario insurance companies

I took 219 to Hershey PA. It's a scenic 2 lane highway but it can be slow. I-390 is quicker.
