I imagine it would cost a fortune for the City to have plowed side streets and sidewalks, but man, they are all but impassible. Really tough for pedestrians out there...

It has nothing to do with cost!! Since when does anybody at the City care what something costs?

We have had some snow in Haliburton, maybe six inches over the last few days. I have never tried to plough snow so heavy. The quad, chains, locked diff and all just will not move it.

Incredible couple of days, that goodness we did not get the wind that was forecasted.

Tory said this morning that most of all the contracts for snow plowing expired. so they are trying to avoid plowing he says and salt the crap out of everything.

Definitely got it out this way. Ice first, then snow for a day and a half, then ice, and today more snow! Lovely 4 inch pile of crap. Needed the neighbour across the street to remove the stuff at the end of the driveway with his big JD tractor and he was struggling with the weight.

Hi neighbour!

Whenever I have been "downtown" Powassan there sure was a lot of traffic. Must be local yokels buying used books at the church!

Good place to get old books!
