Default Niagara cruise (june 9th) please confirm attendance inside...

What a gorgeous day yesterday....fingers crossed we have a repeat next Saturday! Given our numbers at approx 50, we wanted to confirm numbers with the restaurant on Thursday as they were going to be jumping through a few hoops for us (not cool to say 50 then show up with 25).

With that in mind, unless its a complete downpour (where we will cancel), it will be a GO (can handle a light shower or two).

If you are still on the fence and/or have not done a Niagara run with a group of cars, this will be a treat.

We will be providing a print out of the route at the meet up spots. For those wanting a googlemaps link that can be used for navigation, drop me a PM and I will send it to you.

If you made it this far, thanks

Now to the ask, can you please reconfirm your attendance and whether you will be joining for lunch by 5pm Wednesday AND whether you are a SHINE ONLY partcipant (we are going even if there are a couple light drizzles).

Attendees (numbers for lunch):
+yBruce - 1
+yAl - 1
+yFaraz - 1
+yMurray - 2
+yRob Z - 1
+yRichard and Bonnie - 2
+yRandy - 1
+yDon A - 1
+yGary S - 2
+yJohn and Nousheen - 2
+yIsaac - 2
Adrian B - no lunch
+yFrank and Amber - 2
+yPaul - 1 - shine only
+yEric - 1
+yDan and Heather - 2
+yJeff S - 1
+yDustin - 1
+yManny (2) - 2
+Jeff C4 - 1
+yMax - 1
+yPat and Lyndsey - no lunch/shine only
+yDankhts (2) - 2 + 2 friends (maybe)
+yAnthony - no lunch
+yCorrado - no lunch
+yMike J - 1
+ySteve H - 2
+yCrazybird (2) - 4
+yTorenvz - 1
+yEvan M
+yTodd and Jenny - 2
+yVicky - 1

Maybe:
+yCindy G - 2
+ySam K - 1
+yPaul - no lunch

"+" beside your name means I received your confirmation
"y" denotes that I have sent you directions via PM via the Forum or Facebook messenger

THINGS TO WATCH OUT FOR ON ROUTE:

Decew Road at the 406 overpass is metered down to a single lane. Not everyone will get through on one light but no worries. We will pull to the side and wait for our tail runner (Bruce) before turning onto Beaverdams Rd/67.

For those that will be using the googlemaps link, I lost cell signal when getting back onto Beaverdams Rd after going through the tunnel. our next turn will be a right onto Kalar Rd so just pay attention to the street signs if you end up losing signal as well. Kalar Rd will take us to our rest stop at Freshco (which will be on your right).

After leaving Freshco, we will likely get split up turning onto McLeod Rd and making our way towards the Falls. There is a long traffic light free stretch where we can regroup. I will pull to the side and wait for our tail runner again.

Turning onto Upper Rapids Blvd from Portage Road is another split potential due to a traffic light. We will make another left onto Niagara Parkway and will wait at the pull off on the right for everyone to regroup before heading by the Falls.

At the Falls, the Parkway narrows to a single lane for about 300m and then opens up again all the way to Niagara-on-the-Lake. Should not be an issue, but please let any fellow drivers squeeze in as needed.

Main St in Niagara-on-the-Lake will be the final challenge. Just watch out for Mississauga St and make the left and then a right onto Mary St (where there is a Tim Hortons on your right). Butler's Bar and Grill will be on the left when you get onto Mary St.

Hope that with this information, folks know what to expect to make the cruise as relaxed and enjoyable as possible for everyone!

Did a run last night...Niagara Parkway/NOL at 4 in the morning tends to leave you with a grin...

My wife and I will be there, shine only (my C7 has not been driven in the rain yet) and are still planning on just the cruise, not lunch.

Probably shine only for me.
My car has never seen rain, or more than 2 clouds in the sky. I wash it with magic and angel tears.

If it's raining when I look out my door that morning, I won't bother. I hate driving with the top on! If just cloudy and looks like the day will be ok, Giddyup. Not even bothering listening to what the forecasters say because they will always be USELESS!!

My app says 72degrees F and 20% chance of rain. I'm going with my forecast!
