How to POLISH?
I need advice on how to clean my polished CCW's 505a's. They need a good polishing. I bought some "Incredible Billet Polish" From MOTHERS.
Should I just go at it by hand by using cotton towels? Or a buffer?
Will the 88% cotton towels (have alot laying around) damage anything or do they have to be 100% cotton?
Also anyway to keep the finish looking new after polishing? A wax or something?
ANY ADVICE/Tips greatly appreciated!

Flitz and Mothers both offer a buffing ball that you attach to a drill. The Mothers looks like a bunch of foam strips, the Flitz feels more like a cloth.

I just take a wax applicating pad to the paste, put it on, do all the wheels allow to haze and wipe off with either 100% cotton towels or micro fiber towels.

May be better to ask this over in the Car Care Products section of the Forum. There have been a number of threads on this topic there in the past and several knowledgeable folks hang out there too. Good luck.

do it by hand, cause if you use a dremel with polish you can swirl the metal, i used a drill and a polishing ball and it worked ok. I dont think it worked as good as doing it by hand. Mothers billet is for billet not the type of metal your CCW's are made of. try the regular mothers and either a terry cloth towel, or a thin MF towel. you can also try the heavymetal polish but thats more for sealing as opposed to polishing. I used the green one and i dont think it polished up my wheels as good as the mothers. The blue magic, wenol, work pretty good as well.
