Thanks Bugman!! You guys rock... I am having so much fun doing this... I think I'll start a part time paint refinishing business on the weekend.. It's like Freaking Therapy to me I love it.....

I am so in to it and the results I forget to eat or look at the clock... May as well get paid for it..

Seriously... I know plently of you guys do this for a living...What do you typically get for a 3 step process?

Yes! It is very rewarding doing the Job yourself , is it not, Makes going out to the Batcave and uncovering the Batmobile that much more enjoyable, Hell!! I just like turning on the flourescent lights and Popping a cold one and gaze with a Big ear to ear smile on Da Face.

here's to many Face crackers to ya Chuckster

Very nice job Chuckster! You're going to have to help me hit up my beast for the rest of the trunklid as well as the driver's side brake duct. I whacked something in the road the other day!

Yup
I do that all the time. I seriously am considering getting one of those Corvette barstools, just so I can sit out for a few minutes at night with a beer and look at the car.

Am I sick?

Chuckster,

Thanks for the followup. I just ordered some Menzerna tonight myself after seeing your results. Seems my neighbors lawn guy "adjusted" his sprinklers and coated my F-150 last week on 2 seperate occasions with sprinkler water. You can relate to this hot Florida sun and water spots that I have to deal with now.

I'll post some pictures when I get done.

Glad to hear it...

Hope you have

Porter Cable Buffer
Orange Pad
White Pad
Menzerna IP
Menzerna FPII

Wash the car down real good with Dawn and then a rag soaked in vinegar..
I also clayed it to make sure the surface was as good as I could get it prior to buffing..

Have fun.. It's a blast!

Are you sick? Depends on who you ask.. I say it's perfectly normal.

In fact I don't even want to drive the car for DAYS after a good detailing.. Just so not to ruin the perfect job..

I have thought about putting a window in my dining room that looks out into the garage but my wife shot that one down real quick. It would have served 2 purposes had I been able to push it through. One, view my vettes and two, an excuse to re-do/finish the garage with nice floor, walls and maybe some cabinets or something like that, oh, and of course a big crystal chandelier to hang in the middle and reflect off my hood. :
