Yes it is on with glue. Use some nylon fish line or dental floss. Get under one edge and pull like crazy. It helps to warm it up first with a low temp heat gun or hair dryer. When it comes off, use an adhesive remover. Then I used swirl remover, glaze, good wax and set it out in the sun or better yet, drive it out in the sun to help fade the color under there to match the surrounding paint. It will take a few weeks to blend in. At least on black it does. Here's the only pic I have of it. I was busy today driving around the countryside. It is spring again and I need to get acquainted with the car once more.

Very Cool, brother!

Thanks Bro!

What are we looking at here? are they little mirrors stuck in the open parts? or is it a complete emblem?

They're individual pieces that fill the openings. They fit real well (better than it shows in the pic) and solves the cleaning problem.

they are detail brushes that you can use and I saw on a show once where this guy got his detailing brushes from a make up store. So you can use either one. I found that q-tips scratch ever so slightly. and even the detail brushes do. Use some quick detail too, it helps loosen the wax and dirt build up. Quick detail is a great lubricant for paint. QD you'll find soon enough is almost your best friend when it comes to detailing. SO many uses.

Oh, sure. Now there is a mirror cleaning problem to contend with.

The body shop forgot the rear one when they did accident repair. It was almost a month before I even missed it. IMHO it looks better without it anyway.

I have used q-tips, toothbrush and makeup brush. Just don't rub too hard with the toothbrush.

I use a very soft bristled tooth brush and gently brush out any dirt.

What did you use to remove the rear emblem - I'd like mine gone too but I'm afraid of pulling the paint off with it!

SORRY - just read above on your removal technique!! Got it - thanks.

Then there is my car. Bowling Green FORGOT to put a rear emblem on it. Yup, I got it new and there was no emblem or residue. I just left it off. Did I also mention they forgot one of the headlight adjuster covers? Oh yeah, and the relay that turns on my interior lights when I open the door?

It makes washing and waxing it just a little bit easier.
As for as HP gains go, I haven't got it back to the dyno yet!

Ironic, I just did this, this morning. I use a horsehair detailing brush and got all of the mineral deposits out of mine. It was pretty caked.
