I'm sold on the Menzerna polishes
I had used Meguiar's #9 last year and didn't get quite the results I got with the Menzerna polishes this time around. I used IP with a light cutting pad (orange) and FP with a finishing pad (white) and was quite impressed.

I agree, nothing like Menzerna followed up wiuth a few good coats of Zaino. I really really like their Ceramic Line of polishes (PO85RD and PO106FF).

i was real happy with my results as well. I have to go over it once more with an orange pad because i used the yellow and when looking at it at certain angles, you can see some haze or marring that the yellow pad left and that the white pad wasnt aggressive enough to remove. I guess i get to spend another day or so in the garage with my baby
quick question and not to hijack this thread, but will ZPC remove the marring or light haze? Thanks in advance

Meguiars #9 is a very light polish. If you were expecting #9 to remove many scratches, then you were using the wrong product. Something like Meguiars #80 or #83 would be appropriate for most scratches, then you can follow up with #9 with a finishing pad.

Really an apples to oranges comparision. Try Megs DACP #83 if looking for a swirl remover. But Menzerna's polishes also rock ....

I too have added Menzerna to my arsenal. With all the info gotten here, i was confident enough to buy the 32oz versions of some of the menzerna and im glad i did. Thanks for all the help from me as well

I'm sold on Menzerna IP and MFP-II as well.
They work great with the PC.
But wow, it can still take lots of TIME on the hard Vette clear coat.
Even with the orange pad and my PC set on 6, it took many hours to get simple swirls and a few deeper scratches out of my C6.
agentf1 talked me in to getting a rotary -
I'm betting this will make the work go faster in the future, and also the Zaino-PC fusion which I previously could not get results from may work now with the rotary.

its amazing how hard the clear is to remove with a pc, but yet even more amazing is how soft it is to normal up keep. Its like having to tip toe around the car all the time, making sure not to wake it up and making it angry. Using the yellow pad helps a lot. A lot more than the orange pad did. But again, it does marr the cc. SO you have to go back with an orange pad anyway.

You know, I was thinking the same thing. I have buff the shyte out of it to get scratches out, but I can put the damn things back in with just the wrong kind of thread on my MF towels. I just don't get it.

hey DPG and KidCid - you guys are reading my mind !
Also thought about using a yellow pad, but agentf1 kind of talked me out of it - saying just what you did.
Can't wait to try my rotary machine out - that might be the answer. But be watching for my next post entitled "I ruined my paint -now what do I do ?"

1. DONT work the Polish too long
2. Keep the pad as flat as possible even though it wants to walk a little...
