When you say "rubber things", what exactly are you referring to? Are you speaking of the EPDM rubber or of the softer weatherstrip material? Can you be a little more specific?

I'd like to know what is used for the weatherstripping around the doors....I just picked up one helluva bad squeak on the driver's door (passenger's side). The weatherstripping is soft and pliable but I want to try that first before taking it in the the dealership....

Are you looking for something to soften/condition the weatherstripping? My product of choice is BMW's Gummi Phlege. This product can be purchased/ordered through any BMW dealership. A high quality product in my opinion. :yesnod:

Dielectric grease will work to keep the weatherstripping conditioned. It's cheap, even through catalogs like Mid America. About $10 for 3 tubes. If money is no object, Krytox is the best stuff you can buy for this job.
