Default How to clean inside of windshield ??

Has anyone found a reasonably good method for cleaning the inside of the windshield and liftback glass ??

No matter how I twist and stretch I can't reach all areas of these windows

I stop at carwash and pay them $5 about every third or forth time I wash Vette. For some reason I just cannot get the inside of these two glass areas clean

I sit in both seats and stretch for the windshield. For the hatch area, climb in the cargo area to make it easier.

A long time ago someone posted a picture of a plastic tool used for smoothing out wallpaper or drywall mud. It was about 12 inches long with a handle on one end, and they placed a sock over the end of it to reach into the corners with. I couldn't find the thread.

I use a paint stirrer with a micro fiber towel wrapped around it and stoners glass cleaner to reach those hard to get places.

I bought a tool similar to the above at Wal-mart. It's triangular with a micro fiber 'sock' on one end-handle on the other.

Yep...I use too>>

After cleaning with window cleaner (I use Mothers Glass Cleaner since it is tinted window safe) I then use a micro fiber towel with the tool shown...works like a champ

Default Windshield still hazy, cloudy, streaky

I have used spray cleaners, foam spray cleaners, spray cleaners with 30% vinegar, dawn dish liquid with HOT water, orange solvent. Nothing is cleaning this windshield. I'm ready to replace it every couple of months.

Both Glass Master and Stoners make the tools shown above, they come with a handle and a triangle tip. While the clothes included are mediocre you can drap a MF towel over the head and get nice results. Best part the tip gets into the area around the dash and HUD that most hands miss.

Remember paper towels are not tint safe, they will scratch.

As mentioned earlier...... a plastic drywall/wallpaper/putty knife about 5" wide is what I use with a waffle weave.
