some more information please:
what is your goal in using the polisher?
easier application of wax?
removal of swirlmarks?
removal of deep scratches?
you really won't have any advantage of applying NXT with a buffer - it's easier and faster to do by hand. Likewise for removal of NXT or other sealants. Your finishing pad will be very helpful for applying #26 very quickly and with little effort.
If you really have some swirls or scratches, you'll have to get a light cutting pad and some abrasive polish like Menzerna Intensive Polish. All depends what your current paint condition is, and what your goals are.

My paint is in really great shape. No swirlmarks or deep scratches.
It's Nassau Blue.
My goal is a deeper shine. I was hopeing the buffer would make it easy.
#26 is Meguires carnuba pure wax. Has fairly go durability. Use Megs #7 to polish and #7 for protection. Carnubas are great for a garaged car. Great shine from carnubas. If the car is a daily driver I would use a sealant like Zaino or Rejex.
