Default How to clean door sill scuff marks?

My silver C5 has got some shoe scuff marks on the door sill. What's the best way to get those off?
Thanks, DocOhm

If you are talking about the plastic trim part, I use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and water or an all purpose cleaner cut way down with water (about 10 parts water to one part apc).

I use Brake Kleen (red can). It's dry cleaning fluid. Doesn't damage the plastic and does a great job.
ps. Also great on the clothes stains. Been using it on my wifes clothes for
decades.

I second that for the Mr. Clean Majic Eraser. I just did it last week and it worked out good.

WD-40 often works well, too.

Mine you can scrub hard because the color is all the way through instead of paint.

Yup, be careful with that (post above). Mine is black amd I did in fact go through to the grey plastic a tiny bit on one mark. Guess I gotta add SS rocker plates now :-)

Tried the WD40 on mine and it didn't remove any of the scuffs on my light oak sill covers. Just got some Simple Green to try as I was told it might work. Guess I'll have to try the other stuff mentioned.

Bought some of the Mr. Clean tonight and that stuff works great. Very little effort had to be put into the job. Those scuff marks had been on the sill covers since I bought the car 2 1/2 years ago and now they are gone.

Thank you for the tip!

Often times a good APC cleaner and a fresh towel will clean these areas without issue. You can use a paint brush to agitate when needed. Becareful with the Mr. Clean Erasers as some contain harsh cleaners that can damage/discolor painted plastics. Someone recently suggested a small grout sponge as an option.
