I find Megs Ultimate Quik Detailer to be a better product personally. Its easy to use on even a damp surface and leaves alot of shine and gloss. Might not leave the durability of a Spray Wax but so easy you can use it after each wash.

a detail spray should help you clean up the wax residue.

i figured something out! lol my car already has a great shine to it in general! but i use one rag to smear it and let it sit for 5 mins then go over with a diff rag and it looks good. but i dont see a big diff in shine since mine already gives off a mirror shine!!!!

Can Optimum QD be used when the surface isn't completely dry, or is it meant for a dry paint surface?

Good Question.
The label doesn't say.
It only says to "make sure the car is cool and in the shade."

I do infact recommend it being damp. When used on a dry surface the Optimum can show some streaking in direct sunlight. Adding a bit of water to spray or used on a damp finish is perfect and the additional gloss and slickness are quite immediate. It is currently one of my fav sprays !!
