Default What to use for leather for no gloss?

I have the optional leather interior on my C6. I would like to put something on the leather to protect and nourish the leather that does not have a gloss finish.

What would you recommend?

I like Zaino Z10, it even has an awesome leather smell to it. I even use it on my leather couch.

Einszett Leather Care .. it is actually designed specifically for finished leather which is commonly used in automotive settings. Not really much of a sheen and certainly no gloss.

I would clean and condition the leather first with a quality product that will leave nothing behind. my product of choice would be the Leatherique Prestine Clean - 16 oz and the Leatherique Rejuvenator Oil - 16 oz. The leave no fillers or residue behind so you are starting with a matte finish. After that I really like to either the 303 Aerospace Protectant - 16 oz or the Optimum (OPT) Protectant Plus - 17 oz. Both products provide excellent UV protection for your leather and can also be used on vinyl, rubber and plastic pieces if desired. Best of all they leave a very matte finish behind so the surface doesn't look or feel oily and greasy. For best results apply 1 - 2 mists on a microfiber towel and wipe down the desired surfaces. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I too love the clean and fresh appearance of 1Z Einszett Cockpit Premium. They also offer a vinyl protectant with a bit more of a matte appearance for those wanting that look. Great line often missed.

I prefere Leather Masters Strong Cleaner and Protection Cream or Zaino Z9/Z10. I've not used Einszett Leather Care but if it's anything like the 1Z cockpit premium then it's probably dang good because that stuff rocks!

IMO 303 leaves a light gloss and slight oily feel and it needs to be wiped back down with a dry towel after application. Not something I would use on leather seats, but it's great on the rest of the interior vinyl.

This picture from Todd "Esoteric Details" shows just how much gloss 303 adds on the right section....thanks Todd!

Good Stuff... the cheap leather on the C5 needs all the help it can get.

I tried Zaino and agree. There is more sheen than I would like. That's why I posted the question.

If Z-10 gives too much shine, try wiping with a damp cloth, may just be using too much.

Is that a damp cloth after it dries or before it dries?

I feel Z10 does leaves a very slight gloss, but it will vary between different leathers. Usually I will clean with Z9 and then protect with Leather Masters "Protection Creme". It's open for debate but apparently leather "conditioners" are pointless on coated leather, and some can actaully do more harm than good...according to some leather experts that is...

Einszett Leather Care, Einzett Cockpit Premium, or Poorboys Natural Look are clearly more in tune with the look you are asking for ... try them, you will be impressed especially with the Einszett line. If you like the smell of Leather, consider Griots Leather Scent.
